Future games will have that functionality, MK is a future game, this is just confirming it will NOT have that functionality.
5 years 3 months makes it the PS3's 6th year. The game isn't bad, but it's nothing close to the greatest game of this generation - the notion is laughable. Is that you David?
im very excited to see what he can bring us in terms of new ideas and new franchises. im sure he's sick of the same characters and gameplay styles over and over again. it's definitely going to be a big blow to nintendo in the short term, but ive no doubt he's gonna deliver the goods yet again

why is this surprising? with the sales figures as they were, youd have to assume that most people who were going to buy it bought MW3 in the first week or 2 post release anyway
While that would normally be true, that's not what the next gen means at all in this case. Wii U would be listed as Wii U, ditto Vita. It was all down to an issue with the press site they use for their Extranet which, for some reason, had been listing PS3 and Xbox 360 titles as Next Gen for years. The fact that it was only picked up upon now was probably down to the hype about the impending next gen announcements. And they ARE impending announcements.
Did the poster of the article not think to contact EA? Because I thought the same thing and I did just that. The response?

It's not beyond the realms of possibility. Unlikely, yes, but certainly not impossible given it's been demoed in the wild quite a bit in the last few months. Not sure how anyone would be able to dump firmware from it in those circumstances, but there's also the fact that devs have had it for a while to take into consideration.

8.5? bloody hell someone was feeling generous/drunk today! i'm a huge jurassic park fan, and an even bigger telltale one, but this is barely even a game. fun story and a nice take on the franchise, but a game? no. it's a series of vaguely interactive cut scenes one after the other
slim pickings from here til february now at this stage unfortunately. as said above though, great time to play catch up
It does sound awesome when you realise you're now faced with the prospect of shooting your way out of it, or trying to buy yourself enough time to carjack another vehicle

A game is either good or it isn't. Just because it was good ten years ago doesn't mean it's going to be good now. Look at how badly Goldeneye has aged

I can't for the life of me understand the bad reviews it's getting. Did American McGee piss on someone's Cornflakes or something? He seemed a decent chap when we talked to him, so I've no idea what's going on with some of the scores for this game
