If it was left to Sony NZ then it would probably be weeks away. Sony NZ are a 100% no value add when it comes to the Playstation brand.
f**k. That means Tuesday NZ time. That's really disappointing. Not a great few days. No PSN and Sony announce the end of life for the Go. I'm not a pleased Playstation supported at present.
Agreed...but when will normal services resume? we have nothing to go on yet. Is it hours, days or even weeks!?!
I actually loved the opening to Half Life. That entire sequence of walking to the science lab where everything turns to custard. Set the scene perfectly.
Tell you what, try both a PSP and Go and tell me which is more portable. Next, plug some headphones into an NGP and slip that into your pocket. Oh right, you wont be able to thanks to its size and the stupid positioning of the headphone socket.
They could tell us what their course of action is and provide an estimate. Then double that estimate. Its how most work in IT gets done.
Not having any sort of timeframe is just annoying.
As for your argument. I plan out the trip with my kids before we get in the car. I tell them all going well the trip from Wellington to Hamilton will take us around 8hours. Will take longer if we decide to make a few stops on the way. When they ask how much longer I gi...
They should have a server image they would restore from. Question is, what post upgrades and testing are they doing. I would love to know what stage they're up to.
Not really as I'm still none the wiser as to how long its going to be before its back up and running. I really could not care about what they are doing to fix the problem I just want to know how long.
I could not care less that they are working around the clock as its not like they are doing it for free. I know, I have been in their shoes.
Useless update. When did they decide to do a rebuild? 1 hour ago, 5 hours ago. Are we talking days or hours to get things back up and running?
Honestly, Sony's updates have been few and far between and devoid of any real information.
Well, I use my Go for more than just gaming. No way I'm giving up portability like the Go for something like the NGP. Honestly, they have a service like Qrocity and yet you cant even put an NGP in your pocket for music on the move.
Form factor. The Go was the first PSP you could actually slip into your pocket comfortably.
They took my money and now don't support my Go. Sure they will still release content on PSN but if its anything like the last 6 months 99% of that content will be pure rubbish.
I won't support NGP from day one like I did the PSP. Sony have to earn my trust back. I will also wait to see if it will have a future. I have my doubts unless they change its size. Its just too damn big.
Oh, what Sony didn't do to support the Go was release content on...
Yes, but what's wrong with wanting more frequent updates? We all have a vested interest as we have spent hundreds and thousands supporting Sony over the years. Where does the attitude come from that Sony (or MS, Nintendo, Apple, etc) owes us nothing. If they want our time and our money then they should be kissing our ass.
The fact that their updates over the past 3 days have been insufficient and they have discontinued the Go has left me quite annoyed at Sony. They ...
I just want some updates!!!! Come out and tell us how much longer FFS. Is it too much to ask to get some meaningful updates on the situation.
Wellington New Zealand.
Just get PSN up again already. 4 day weekend, crap weather, was looking forward to catching up on some on-line play. Looks like the entire 4 day weekend will be a wash!
It will probably be up in a week, just in time to launch a firmware update which patches security....again.
Sick of it. Cause its free you can't really complain however, the lack of updates and information is just lousy.
I expected more.
Umm, how much content does Apple sell on disc for their IPad, Iphone and IPod touch?
Over the pas 6 months PSN has basically dried up in terms of releases. The back catalog is only a fraction of what it should be and all we get is a bunch of second rate minis.
The NZ PSN store is dire for the PSP. After taking $399 NZD for my Go I expected a hell of a lot more.
Yeah...oh wait, Netflix is not available in New Zealand anyway. Keep working chaps, BC2 is calling!!!!
