I prefer the Go. Having a dozen games on internal storage will beat UMD any day of the week for me. However, since Sony dropped the Go I have gone off Sony's PSP and NGP. Why should I support Sony when they did not support me (a Go owner).
You wouldn't say that if you owned a PSP. The system is worth so much more than the updates its received over the past 12-18 months.
COD4 was the last good COD game before it went casual.
Well, with PSN being down all the kiddies can't play COD multiplayer on the PS3 so problem solved.
The average age of soldiers in Vietnam was 19...average age of players playing COD:BO on-line is probably half that.
Lets wait until the game is released before we get all excited over those images. Honestly, they look like cut scenes.
The lack of info is just plain frustrating. I own a Go so the outage is even worse as I can't buy anything for it. There is only so much PixelJunk Monsters a guy can play (I have finished all levels and challenges on the most difficult setting)
My PS3 has not been turned on for anything but movie playback for the past 2 weeks and even this is under threat as my TV supports AVI/DIVX playback directly via USB and seems to support more formats.
Whatever Sony. I brought into your bull$hit over the Go and where did that get me.
Yep, I have stopped buying games for both the PS3 and PSP. Kind of a no brainer for the PSP as I have the Go. The PSN outage makes the Go largely redundant.
As for PS3 games, why buy no when you can wait and they'll be cheaper in a months time when PSN will (hopefully) be back up.
To be honest, the PSN outage has almost put me off gaming. I was spending far too much time gaming and Sony's announcement that they are dropping the Go has left me ou in...
Just get the damned network up again already. Sick of all the bashing stories or stories of what to do whilst PSN is down. We're not f**king 2, we know there are other things we can do to occupy our time.
Lets not forget you'll have to add the price of a memory stick on as well if you're after media playback.
I hate the NGP XMB. It looks like a bunch of marbles.
The entire media industry thrives on two things:
1. Extreme positivity
2. Extreme negativity
The media especially love it when a something or someone moves from one extreme to the other. Anything that falls in between is typically page 2 general interest stuff that gets little or no attention.
Its not PSN being down thats puts me off the NGP. Its too damn big and has no built in storage. Having to switch memory sticks to play games, listen to music or watch video is just plain terrible. Sure you'll be able to co-host all media on a single memory stick but what if you're buying your games at retail? It should have launched with 16GB internal as standard. If Apple released an IPhone, IPad or IPod touch without built in memory it would tank.
It has not ruined it its just made FPS multiplayer more accessible to the masses. Unfortunately by doing so they alienated the hardcore audience that helped make the COD franchise a success in the first place.
Yes...but Call of the Dead looks like a real guilty pleasure. It looks like a blast.
Lets just get back to basics and get the bloody thing back up again so we can multiplay again!
Really? are people lining up to buy PS3s with the current headlines hitting the global press? I think they will take a hit, especially for first time PS3 buyers.
Latest report on NZ TV says that Sony is recommending people change their user names and passwords (when they can log back in I guess). But what will this mean for content you have purchased, your game saves and trophies!?!
I suggest you ignore the hype and judge the game for yourself. However, this thing has been hyped up so much its almost doomed to fail.
1. PSN has been down for 3 weeks.
2. You can't get most of the games you can for PSP on UMD.
3. Games are more expensive on PSN than UMD.
That enough reasons for you?
