I am a huge fan of the Series. But a remake following the exact same design without improvimg upon it will not attract new Audience and the game will feel outdated. Do you really want to cover for 10 seconds and shoot RPG and rinse and repeat?
I am a diehard MGS fan but same principles will not work in this generation. Needs to be thought through carefully.
Pretty much this. It was supposed to be a Tactical Stealth game, not an action game like the last few games.
Ubisoft forgot that Splinter Cell was in fact about Stealth, not action.
New Splinter Cell needs to go back to its roots.
It better not be an action game and a capitalize on being THE next-gen premiere Stealth Game instead, just like the original.
A remake needs to fix some of the outdated game design issues like hiding behind barrels and shooting RPGs at REX during the wait which becomes increasingly repetitive.Otherwise it will feel dated instantly.
