so then he goes and proves himself wrong lol.
and in 7 years people will say the same about the PS3
the PS3 will last at least 12 years. Sony just redesigned it, have entered third world countries, have over 80 games this year and next, have just reduced the price to spur sales and John Koller just said in an interview that he thinks the PS2 will last longer than 10 years...
so how many players can play in Gears (without lag)? i can't remember.
i hope you never buy one then. sshhhhhh... don't tell him fellas, it's best to keep our little secret to ourselves.
the writing is on the wall people. it is now clear that devs are beginning to see the PS3 as the console to support and that they do not trust MS when it comes to keeping a console alive for ten years. it's all easy from here on in. Sony are on a role and nothing will stop it. MS can sell as many Arcades as they like because Sony (HDD in every machine) know that MS are handing them the future. why do you think that Sony have recently offered devs the chance to write a game exclusively for PSN...
wait and see! 2009 is the year this feature will be pushed heavily
good post Morgan! people do hot understand that a sprinter wins over 200 metres, but a marathon runner paces himself for the duration of the 'real' race
people will you stop speculating that you're going to get the world on a stick with every firmware update!!! for Gods sake!!! even if the firmware only had a new way of sorting your friends list, it still would be good. get a grip people
so MS have an update to fix a problem and it's GREAT!
Sony have an update that actually adds something and it's CRAP!
pathetic
the ps3 is different from the PS2 (which is still selling by the way and i still play. so do many others). the PS2 was a static system in that what you bought stayed constant throughout it's lifecycle. but now we have moved into an 'update' centric console that improves over time. we know that Cell has been no where near maxed out and that we can expect to see many improvements in games for years to come. i wouldn't mind betting that a 1st - 3nd generation game on the 720 will still not be as...
don't approve this it's fake
what are you talking about? it's just a PS2 price drop. it's the 360 owners and MS that seem to be getting their knickers in a twist.
more PS2s means more potential owners of PSPs and PS3s. played GOW1 and 2? then you simply must get a PSP to play GOW again or maybe get a PS3 to play GOW3 at the end of the year. get it?
funny that because i play Wipeout in 1080p and MGS in 1080p...
what an utterly absurd post. it's not to sell you another one, it's to sell the PS2 to people who may not have one yet. IT'S A TEN YEAR LIFECYCLE!!! get it?
oh dear, here we go again! Sony only said they had an announcement on Tue. they dropped the price of the PS2... that's all there is to it. will the media stop blowing out of their asses please.
"This move from Sony at the end of the PS2’s life cycle is not unexpected," Chris Lewis, VP of the Interactive Entertainment Business for Microsoft, told GamesIndustry.biz.
so which other console got a huge pricedrop? is that also because it's at the end of it's lifecycle?
"We believe, however, that the future lies in the growth of current generation consoles and Xbox 360, as the fastest growing games console last year, with sales up over 80 per cent, wil...
you know, Sony must get a real kick out of making people like you look stupid
