we have a game that has 50 levels on the Blu-ray, the ability to change those levels and create your own, the ability to share those levels with friends online and the ability to post them up for others to evaluate and play... by the time anyone gets around to being good enough to charge there will be hundreds and hundreds of levels for us to play free. show me another game with this amount of levels! even when some levels get a price tag there will be free levels too... this was potentially ...
and RGK-Fists of plastic
the Wii is not the competition. it's 360 V PS3. the only real rival to the Wii (ie SD based machine) is the PS2. the 360 is selling less while the PS3 is selling more... it isn't rocket science. Japan has gone for 360, PS3 has overtaken the 360 in Europe and in America the PS3 is slowly making ground. when RFOM2, MS2, Killzone, LBP and Infamous release watch the numbers shrink further. add into that the 80GB PS3 with Blu-ray/Wi-Fi/with a HDD in every machine... Sony will have parity in worldw...
just pay $50 more to get 80GB/Blu-ray/3.1 HDMI (not 2.1)/True 1080p (progressive, not parity, which is upscaled)/Wi-Fi/.2% failure rate (not 33%)/50GB games... need i go on?
6/10 lol... come on now. this was a ridiculous review and one that just seemed to miss the whole point of MGS, but please people stop with the lesbian crap and the barbie crap, at the end of the day it's a PERSONS view even if it sucked. one thing i hate more than bad reviews of excellent games is mindless, shallow sexism.
1 - This game looks good.
But why would I want to buy this game again when I already bought the better version?
what? there are currently 37 million PSP owners and 14 million PS3 owners... it makes sense to make a PSP version. also, those that play the PSP version may well want to play it on the PS3 (when they buy it) and those who play the PS3 version now have another incentive to buy a PSP
it will work on your ratings. if you consistently hit the top (lets say 10 to begin with) then you can approach Sony/MM and ask if you qualify to charge for future levels. there will be millions of levels available for free because of having to rank up and then there will be hundreds of levels available for purchase after people get the go ahead. this is incredible
nice to see MS pushing their tech. it's not that far behind HOME if you can ignore the lower resolution, simpler characters, lack of any meaningful locations and the short development time... what was it, a week?
er... so LBP was the best of show and Infamous was the best on the PS3! how the hell does that work out then?
'cos we're living in a material world and i'm a material boy... oh yes we're living...'
this game will be the biggest system seller of all time
quote: 8 - What about doing something soon?
All the plans in the world mean nothing if you don't deliver. PS3 is quickly approaching it's second birthday since launch. How long before one of these announced games/concepts become reality? As a fan it's nice to know what is in the works, but what is confirmed for the remainder of 2008?
-Death
you are kidding right? LBP, RFOM2 (seen the size of the bosses?), Motorstorm 2, Socom... and then there's Farcry and Fallo...
it's time to start putting PSN titles up because if they get overlooked as also rans, people will be missing out on some of the best games on PS3. nothing there? Rag Doll Kung Fu looks fantastic, Fat Princess look addictive and fantastic... even The Last Man got me hyped. come on people, stop thinking the only games worth considering are those on Blu-ray. PSN is now a viable alternative to DVD
this is getting rid of the old 80GB so it has almost full BC!
go buy it NOW!
i love this. the PS3 was released with an accelerometer (sixaxis), they were immediately accused of copying Nintendo. so now Nintendo are taking an accelerometer and adding it to the Wii-mote. so now Nintendo are copying themselves! what does this prove? Sony never copied in the first place... they used a different and better tech that now Nintendo have acknowledged by stealing
installs are going to make it very easy to pirate software and everyone knows that pirating sells hardware. lol... MS are getting pretty desperate
no doubt an install is now a GREAT idea because it's not compulsory. it'll be the same old story. 'we don't need Blu-ray' but if 360 owners get a Blu-ray add on 'eat that PS fanboys!' LOL
the internet is so funny at times
essentially everything you will be doing in HOME, but not as graphically intensive and broken up into neat and easy to run mini-versions. this is good, don't get me wrong... just don't be too upset when HOME releases. waits for the usual HOME will never come comments...
why would nintendo sue them? everything rip off they showed was a Sony product. Eye-create, Buzz, Singstar, HOME (maybe the Mii... you could be right)... ignore my question
it's too late to bring sanity to the table now. this should never have been said and is the first time negativity has been aimed at LBP. the net will run and run with this nonsense now until launch and 360 owners will have ammunition to help appease their insecurities. bottom line: LBP is the most important development in games EVER... so 360 owners are going to use all they can to put it down. it won't work, but it will put a dent in some PS3 owners joy (and that's what they want)
