the answer is very simple. it was developed for the PS3s Cell and every PS3 has a HHD... it's not rocket science, but it does highlight why so many PS3 ports had to be gimped. you can't program the PS3 in the same way. it does show the power of the PS3 though, even though the versions where inferior because they only used at most two SPUs and then never split the data properly. it's not a PC devs, learn that and you will sell more PS3 games
seriously? you're joking right? i think Gears1 looked better than RFOM1 for sure, but Killzone makes Gears2 look second rate
there is no doubt that Killzone 2 is going to be a fantastic game. the graphics are better than anything on the market now (or due to be released in the near future). the AI is second to none. when you watch the vids don't watch the shooting, take a look around you at everything happening elsewhere... it's like a real war-zone. you will never see so much going on in any 360 titles because DVD9 would only be able to provide enough environments for 30 mins and it's processor can't handle that m...

good post! and there is another thing to factor in. we have now moved to 1080p and the difference between this gen and next gen is getting smaller. by the time the PS3 hits fifth generation title (taking into account it's more powerful Cell and Blu-ray capacity) the games on the 720 will not be any better graphically and so people will have a choice of either buying a £200 console (or sticking with their PS3) or buying a £450 console that doesn't seem to offer any more. i can see So...

i've never had an adjustable optimism like some. the only reason i sometimes have a bit of fun at the expense of 360 owners is because we took it for nearly a year and in every response i said 'have your day, the 360 is a great console, but Sony know what they are doing'.

but Qore is an Online magazine... and it's into it's 3rd publication. you can hardly use that and compare it to a situation 360 owners have been putting up with for TWO years! we still get stack of FREE stuff all the time... i just think it's strange how people keep supporting MS on this strategy. if there were two shops, one offering Burgers at £3 and chips at £1, and a shop opened across the road that sold Burger at £3 and the chips are free, you wouldn't carry on paying for ...

i keep hearing this but i can't see that much difference. other than cross game chat, what is there? and i don't mean minor little details, i mean things like 'Movie store' that allows you to rent or buy HD movies... that sort of thing
yeah... it seems some posters here are trying to avoid the obvious. themes, interviews and everything other than games related stuff are FREE on PSN... you are paying for things we get Free and paying $50 a year for the privilege. WOW, you really have to be a fanboy to take that

that's a very good question. i believe that the rumoured development team that Sony were supposed to be buying are Insomniac and that part of the deal was to allow Insomniac to split so that Insomniac (or whatever the new team is to be called) can retain a certain amount of freedom... not that Sony don't allow them that already of course
i agree. it's the way they develop levels. they don't finish a level and then improve the visuals on it at the same time, they get the whole game up and running, then they iron out the possible problems and alter the layout so that it works well. once the whole game is playable this way, they then go into fine tuning and polishing. this way there is hardly any problem with the running of the game at an early stage and then they can concentrate on making it look good
thank you MS! i really mean that. PSN = DVD quality games. Live = take a punt... it might be quite a good game or you might end up with a pile of s**t, but either way it won't be up there with Socom, Fat Princess, Pixel Junk monsters, Pixeljunk Eden, Echocrome, Siren, RAC Quest for Booty or... well you get the picture
