First off Microsoft doesn't come up with the ideas for the games and second there are more good games than Gears of War coming out, sure some come out in Q1 of 2007, but they are definitely worth the wait. I have an XBOX, SNES, GAMING PC, 360 and I am proud to say I love Microsoft Consoles. Why wait for disappointment when you can have a great system right now --->XBox 360

He must be a sony fanboy, getting all excited because the 360 with the add-on will be more expensive than the PS3. He still doesn't get the point about choice. Blu-Ray isn't going to win the HD war. So when you can't get Blu-Ray movies 1-2 years from now you will be feeling really stupid. And I on the other hand will be enjoying a stand alone HD-DVD player.
It's about choice you purchase the premium and later down the line if you wish, purchase the HD-DVD add-on. Besides I would have a stand-alone player anyway, since playing movies in the console drive will put wear and tear on it.
Also, I believe the 360 HD-DVD add-on will have alot better picture than the standard blu-ray in the PS3.
