Wow, in that case I'm never buying an Xbox One. There's nothing Microsoft can say that could justify charging people to play a pre owned game.
No wonder EA are in love with them all of a sudden, think of all the money they're gonna get from pre owned sales now! lol.
For me personally, there is nothing Microsoft could show that would make me buy their console at release. When you look at how Microsoft have shifted their focus from core to casual this entire gen. I have no doubt that they will have a strong line-up of core games at launch, but I doubt they will continue to support the console with new IP's and original games towards the end of the generation (just like with the 360)
Still, I'm excited for the event and I'll be ...
I see what your saying but using the example you gave, wouldnt't it be easier to have the system add the level of the game in the title of the video? That way you can decide whether or not you want to watch it, and the player can still have some freedom in terms of what they want to record.
if you don't want it ruined for you then you don't search for the video. its not like it will just pop up in front of you unexpectedly. Imo this is a pretty big deal as a lot of people were expecting a fully functional built in recording feature to avoid the need of an expensive capture card.
So when you go see a movie or read a book, you are in control of the main characters decisions which will effect the entire plot of the story?
This isn't just like any other game where if you get something "wrong" you can just restart from the last checkpoint, you have to pay the consequences for the decisions you make. For me this makes it a more immersive experience than most other games, even if there isn't as much variety in terms of gameplay. If you pla...
If it wasn't CoD it would be something else in it's place. People like you would always hate it no matter what it was because it's popular. Activision aren't doing anything wrong other than giving millions of gamers exactly what they want.
By the way I don't actually play CoD but I hate seeing people on here go on about how it's ruining the industry. There are loads of other games to play other than CoD, and if developers try to appeal to CoD's au...
When you use the MGS codec as your ringtone, and the trophy "ping!" as your message alert :)
I know, how dare people buy video games that they find enjoyable, that's not what gaming is about!
oh wait...
Mirror's Edge and Heavy Rain for me. I had Mirrors Edge in my collection since it was released in 2008 (got it as a present). I remember playing it for about 20 minutes and absolutely hated it and was convinced that I would never come back to it. A couple years later I decided to play some of the games that I never completed (you know what it's like when no new games are coming out!). All I can say is I'm glad I went back to it and I've since completed the game at least 5 time...
I feel like they went backwards after Uncharted 2, which had a perfect balance between gameplay and cinematic moments giving the player full control in most action sequences. Uncharted 3 felt too scripted just for the sake of it looking more cinematic.
Having said that I'd love to see an Uncharted title for PS4 with more open environments and new places to explore. I wouldn't say it needed a break as we all know Naughty Dog only make a game when there is an interestin...
Can't wait to see the gameplay footage next week!
by the way you can see a few more images in this pic:

not quite as detailed but I'm pretty sure they are same ones that will be released over the next few days. The pic on the top right looks like it has ski lifts and a guy skiing down the ...
I'm sure Microsoft have some ridiculously priced hard drives lined up to store all those games ;) lol.
Wow I'm glad we're getting gameplay footage next week. I was expecting just a teaser video and some extra info. I hope they also show some PS4 footage.
Website design is pretty cool btw it works great with a tablet lol.
Ok I'll try it that way. The hardest part is when there are 2 witches and 2 medusas. It destroys my health bar to less that a quarter every time which leaves me in a terrible position for the next round lol. Even using magic to vapourise madusas doesn't give much magic.
Can't wait to beat it though.
This level is killing me!! I've tried it like 10 times, then took a break, then tried it another 20 times...still can't do it. The most annoying thing is that the parry system in this game is so unpredictable it doesn't even work half the time. And I know I'm not the only one with this issue because I've looked on other forums.
You guys got any tips on defending against the witches or using the parry more effectively? I'm only playing on normal :(
Yeah I completely forgot about the lag compensation stuff. Although I think if they lowered the pace of the game just slightly (more like CoD4) then lag wouldn't actually cause much of a problem. Also forgot to mention they need to increase players health or reduce the power of guns to make accuracy more important. In the most recent ones it has become a game of whoever can land the first shot wins the gunfight.
If MW4 has 3 fixed killstreaks, increased recoil on all guns, shotguns as primary weapons and more symmetrical maps (for a more balanced spawn system) then I'll probably buy it.
Basically I want CoD4 for next gen consoles. Make it happen IW!
Was really looking forward to the S4 after having an S2 for nearly 2 years, but honestly I was disappointed with most of what was shown.
The worst thing about buying a phone now is that no matter what you get it will be outdated by everything else within a year :( I guess it's good that the mobile industry is moving so fast though.
People don't worry about this stuff when it's in games from their favorite developers. But when Activision and EA do it, "it's ruining the industry" lol.
Micro transactions have been around for ages, even in console games. I'd rather have them than disc locked DLC and huge day one patches.
So now we start hearing all the negative things that Microsoft didn't want to talk about at the event.
Mandatory installs for ALL games, fee on second hand games (discs are tied to only one account), still charging for Live even though it offers nothing more than competitors and now Kinect must be plugged in even if the user doesn't use it. Also am I right in thinking the controller still takes batteries?!? he said it has a new "battery compartment" not a bu...
