Both conferences were really good but they had their ups and downs. Microsoft should have at least mentioned their plans on used games and DRM, but they delivered on their promise which was to show lots of games. Sony did a great job at killing any DRM rumours but IMO they relied too much on third party games and the fact that online multiplayer is no longer free really annoyed me. Oh and also the price of the PS4 is great, that was one of the best parts of their conference.
Yep, and now we're all losers in the end whether we go for PS4 or Xbox One. Microsoft got away with it this gen by charging for online and now Sony are following.
The same thing will happen with next next gen if Microsoft succeed in persuading people to buy a console with DRM. Just goes to show that our wallets really do the talking, if you don't want something to be integrated into future consoles, just don't buy it.

No one is denying the fact that PS Plus is a great service. The thing that annoys people is that PS Plus shouldn't be used as an incentive to get people to pay for a large portion of a game that they have already paid for. What if someone doesn't want/need the benefits of Plus? Why should they have to pay the same amount as everyone else just to play with their friends online?
I'm a Plus subscriber so this doesn't effect me at all, but seriously Sony have made a terrible decision to charge for online. OMG are you serious? So because something is excellent value for money it means it's for "poor people". That is the most ridiculous argument against PS+ I have ever heard! You think $45 for 2 games is good? how about over 15 retail games for the same price with PS+? I know which one I would go for. Then again I guess I'm one of those "poor gamers".
They may have changed it from the 10th to the 14th as they are planning a price drop for the PS3 along with a Last of Us bundle announcement at E3 on Monday...that's my thoughts anyway lol.

He defends it by saying 90% of our owners in the US are connected so It's a very small percentage of people who will suffer from having an always on console. I feel like Microsoft are forgetting that there are other countries besides America lol.
Someone at Microsoft (think it was Aaron Greenberg) has already said that if you don't have access to the internet every 24 hours, then the Xbox One isn't for you. He was in a podcast and the host basically asked him how someone like a marine without internet access would play their games, and he said they're not Microsofts target audience and that they should go elsewhere for their gaming needs. So basically they don't give a sh*t :)

That's exactly what I did, but then when I had no games to play I decided to give it one more try and I realized how stupid I was for not playing it earlier! Seriously you should play it again, once you get passed the first half hour it gets really good.
That's my biggest problem with GT5, I really hope they can get all 1200 cars up to a respectable level of detail. Also I hope they actually integrate a half decent damage system this time, because GT5's damage was so bad it shouldn't have even been included, it was embarrassing. I know a lot of people say it's a driving sim not a "crashing sim" but crashing is a part of racing and GT is the only racing game not to include it.

Well if you dont have access to the internet for longer than 24 hours then you cant play games. How can anyone defend that? Ive had a PS3 and 360 since release and there have been loads of time where I didnt have access to the internet. What if your provider has an outage, or if your moving house or visiting a relative without internet; you wont be able to play SINGLE PLAYER GAMES. How anyone can defend this policy is really shocking to me.

I was just thinking exactly the same thing. No matter how bad core gamers think the conference was, Microsoft will be laughing there asses off because they know how many stupid people there are around the world who actually want this piece of crap. The same people who have been giving Microsoft their money to use free services for the last 8 years probably.
