There going to be 2 DLC's. And as far as people are told. The 1st DLC is free to pre-orders.

Actually tinybigman, this is a Psychological Action Thriller. :) Horror relies on allot blood and gore and allot cheap scare thrills.

And it's May 18TH.

I read allot of reviews and forums that were complaining about SCC not being stealth. Not using the M&E option allows a player to be more stealth. And another benefit, is it actually lengthens game play. I played it stealth and it took me nearly 10 hours or so to finish the campaign. I am still playing the Co-op 65% and spec-ops 80%. I have not played it yet on realistic for the campaign either. And yes, then it's the other achievements to go through. Plenty of game play and replay. &...

The game was not going in the right direction on the original format. So, starting over mid production will extend the time spent. And shortens time spent on the final result. Not to mention fitting in the 2 DLC's and the production of 6 episodes of "Bright Falls". Consider the budget you have and time is money (Remedy is a smaller company). Can determine how rushed a developer is to complete a game. And from the looks of it. You have not or can not play the game to find out you...

Commenting on something you never played is not smart. I notice allot of uninformed trolls on these forums when the score dips low. There has been plenty of 9's in the past few days. :)

Allot of 9's before the resent scores here today. Where are they on Metacritic?

Her is a sample of such information. Directional change and platform changes, exct..

Remedy has stated that they will have a DLC update for the cinematic/graphics of the game.

But you may be a day happier to know it will arrive on the Tuesday the 18TH not the 19TH. :)

Troll Alert!

Sony Trolls are going to have another feeding!

It just takes one (unreasonable) lower score than 9 to awaken the army of sleeping trolls. And where are these scores on the score review lists on some of the known sites. http://www.gamerankings.com...

5759d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yes, it seems when there is a (questionable) low score. The trolls come out for a feeding. Maybe with all of these 9's appearing. It has put them to sleep. And I am wondering why we are not seeing these scores on http://www.metacritic.com/g... or http://www.gamerankings.com... ?

No worries here. Remedy is setting up an update for that very thing with a DLC.

8.1 followed by 9's? I have been reading the Cons in these reviews. It seems at times they are picking straws to fill in the blank. And yes, some have not read up on the development of Alan Wake enough to give solid reason for their Cons. So, they are more like personal shallow opinions filling up space.

"The soundtrack is fantastic, and the story is pretty good, even if to top up your understanding of it you have to wade through vast chunks of Alan's novel every time he finds some more pages under a mulberry bush.
But in trying too hard to be a book, or an interactive book experience, Wake completely forgets that it ought also to be a game."

You have an option to read these scripts that you find. Just like you can use the option of Mark and Execute in S...

This is a story driven game. Having an open world would have been cool. But then it would have slow down the flow of the story. And you may have a hard time remembering or keeping track of it. And you would be less captivated by the story.

Go with Alan Wake first. If your a person who has 85-90% of run and gun shooters genera on the shelf already. You might want to take a break.

"Replay value in Alan Wake is all about collecting all of the manuscripts in the game, watching all of the tv shows and radios. There are some manuscripts that can be obtained only in nightmare difficulty setting. But what makes Alan Wake so satisfying is the story, atmosphere and the environment. Once you start playing the game, It will be hard to put it down. I finished the game in 13 hours. I really recommend this game for all gamers who love to play a well made thriller/horror game.&...

Changes were made in the direction of the game. Something to fit a sandbox experience to what it is now. The campaign was not the only thing in development. But also the development of the DLC's for added story and game play. First DLC will be offered along with Pre-order.
