Boy that definitely sucks! This game went from being a launch title to releasing almost a full year later... The demo was really great for this game, so hopefully more people buy it and don't lump it into being kiddy because of the art style.

Everyone keeps saying it will get a price drop soon, oh just wait! But what many fail to realize is that there are many other things Nintendo can do to increase the value. Like including 1 or 2 games as a bundle. Or including a game, usb HDD and contoller Pro as a bundle. Its not all about just dropping the price all of the time. If people feel that there is a great deal in what is being sold and its just to good to pass up, then they will spend their money.
Nah they'll complain about those machines being expensive as well! Being a buyers market, even if the price is justified by the tech and manufacturing costs. People still don't want to pay the market value and who can blame them. The economy is still pretty rough for most people and many gamers have no business trying to support new consoles. As they are either A: In school and just can't afford it or B: Just can't afford the extra spending all together.

Not only was nothing proved at all. But these people really screw up their own math by saying the Wii puts out 24Gflops and Nintendo has stated publicly that the WiiU has approx, 21-22x the processing power of the Wii.=(504-528Gflops) Something doesn't add up there! Not to mention games like -X- and Platinum Games now confirming that the really detailed monster at the end of the Bayonetta 2 developer reel was in fact in game graphics...

Now this I agree with. I can see these next consoles focusing more on digital delivery and downloading of software. But home internet service has really been lagging behind 4gLTE in offering fast consistent connections. My phone and tablet always get a much better speed than Roadrunner, but of course with data caps. There's no way anyone would use their cell service as their main connection. Way to expensive right now!

What's even more interesting is that both Sony and Microsoft knew that HD tv penetration wasn't at mass quantities also. That's why neither company included Hi-def cables with the consoles at launch... The infrastructure is not where it needs to be just yet for cloud gaming to be the next big thing. Many people still experience frequent internet outages and speed inaccuracies. I myself have the 3rd tier service for Road Runner and I almost never get the theoretical download speeds...
That's the problem I see with companies like Ubisoft, Square and Epic showing off these amazing previews of what's to come. People start expecting everything will either be at that level or surpassing it in visuals on these next consoles. Which frankly isn't going to happen! When Gears and Uncharted were first shown, they amazed because these were the kind of titles that made people take notice of HD visuals in a mass market way.

Nintendo has done a complete 180 in light of support to indie games and this game is simply amazing on the WiiU. I think people equate the 3rd party situation to Nintendo not being able to survive. But those that think that are very young gamers! Yes! And he declared an unprecedented partnership and support with Nintendo as well. So the only thing that had changed between e3 2011 and up to the launch of the WiiU, was that Nintendo had decided on not using Origin as its primary service! Sounds like hurt feelings to me.
$499 is too much but yes $399 is the perfect price! I bought my PS3 at that price as well.
