It actually makes more sense for Microsoft to go this route than Sony given the current position they are in. I see people saying that power wasn't or isn't the reason that PS4 is outselling the XbOne, but Sony themselves released a poll that showed Resolution, superior 3rd party games and faster hardware were the top reasons many picked PS4 over XbOne. Not sure why people are flip flopping over this issue when the bulk of 3rd party game comparisons between the two are almost always h...
Sony won't be able to go past it, because if the rumors have a shread of truth the Neo is launching this year and Scorpio next. Sony can't just magically throw a 6Tflop chip into the Neo this year that Amd won't have on the market until late next year.
Rumors are that Neo is releasing this year though, this next Xbox won't be here until probably late 2017.
The game might be lacking visually for being VR compatible...
Polyphony isn't known for showing things prematurely, so sustained performance must be more of a priority with this title than just visuals alone.
Your comment is constant proof of the mentality around here, where people don't even think about what they say before they say it. One thing all the rumors have at least agreed on thus far is that the NX platforms are designed with modern industry leading chips. So it's pretty ignorant to say the hardware will be 5yrs old and outdated.
Not sure what rock you have been living under but the WiiU and Wii were the only 2 systems that Nintendo wasn't competitive hardware wise. Other than those systems Nintendo could definitely put together decent hardware because it is available to do so. You guys make it seem as if it's rocket science for Nintendo to be able to surpass PS4, but Amd is showcasing that they have a new 50 watt gpu that easily blows away these current systems. It doesn't take high end hardware to achiev...
Umm if you know how to read actual tech sites that have reported on this stuff, you would understand what truth is! I know you are one of the many that probably ate up Cerny saying PS4 was using Supercharged PC components, but the rest of us knew that was false...
What you are providing is not concerns though! Your comment history speaks for itself and anything negative is seen as fact by the likes of you. There is no proof to any of these claims or rumors as of yet to be viewed as 100% truth, so at this point there's nothing to damage control. It's all rumors and if everyone treated them as such people could have decent discussions.
Do you know how much of an idiot you have to be to say you hope Nintendo releases games for XbOne and PS4 when we are openly discussing their next platform! You could at least troll harder and smarter by saying PS5 or XbTwo... These kinds of comments just don't provide anything meaningful to the conversation at hand.
It got your attention to come and comment on it! Lol
You guys are hilarious with your "it doesn't interest me but let me tell the world how it doesn't matter to me." Great post guy, hope it improved your life somehow ;(
Shows how much you know about technology as Nintendo can easily get Arm cpus that outperform the Amd offeringso. Most game engines support and are compatible with Arm design so that's not an issue...
How is it damage control if you guys don't even know what you are commenting on? These supposed leakers aren't giving this information based on actual theoretical numbers of the hardware. They must be just comparing the amount of cu's or shaders available to the current consoles, which would be a dumb idea if NX is using modern chips.
Emily Roger's has never successfully sorced Nintendo hardware! I remember during the WiiU days, she was guessing wrong on everything just like everyone else. Now she definitely has a decent track record when it's dealing with software... Her latest postings are already contradicting what she first said when these NX rumors were going nuts. She stated then that the NX specs were good and technically better than both the XbOne and PS4. Now enter the backtracking so one can cover all th...
So at this point I don't really trust that any of these leakers fully know what the final specs of any of the NX platforms are at this point. On top of it these rumors all seem to contradict each other, because it sounds like most of them definitely lean towards the NX using very modern architecture. But it this has shown us anything recently is that this don't always add up to what some numbers point to. Case in point Nvidia's Tflop numbers versus Amd's, or the fact that Pola...
Well considering the fact that they are retracting statements, sounds like thereal may be truth to the rumor and Sony just wants to rake in as many regular PS4 sales as possible. (Sounds like a smart honest gaming company)
It's not a brand new console, so I don't understand if it's releasing so soon why they haven't addressed this already.
This should be looked at no differently than the whole DRM fiasco at the beginning of this generation. It all pointed to only Microsoft doing it even though there were credible rumors that both Sony and Microsoft were going this route.
That's what is shocking this is a Sony site so I'm not sure why everyone here is oh Sony is being persecuted!
When Uncharted 4 and Quantum Break are released on the NX, that's when we'll see this game on PS4 and XbOne! I can't wait to see Nathan Drake use Link's hookshot in the NX version to scale walls... lol
In other words port beg for something else please!
The only argument you try to have is that it took 2 yrs to reach a million. But your argument is weak because most of Bayonetta 2's sales were at the games original price! Don't be so mad, since I'm sure you were the main cheerleader that this game would never reach a million. ;(
Depending on what you call same specs? If the rumors are true and Sony sticks with some uprated Jaguar or Puma cpu and Gddr5 ram. While Microsoft moves onto Zen, Vega plus a much higher bandwidth memory, then these systems won't perform anything alike at all! The Neo would not only be hampered by a weak cpu, but memory bandwidth will keep this system from putting out many 4k games. Unless they lack in complexity overall...
