At least you understand what they were going for with this showing. Which had to be asking a lot, seeing as how secretive Nintendo is. People commenting on how lifeless the world was, Nintendo probably took everything out just to show what they wanted to reveal.
Are you serious right now? People have been freaking out over every game play reveal Cgi trailer that has absolutely no game play. Zelda was one of the few games actually shown being played! You guys love being lied to with these cinematic reveals that have nothing to do with how the game actually plays. Sure trailers are nice at first, but show actual game play and that's what they did.
It actually helps when you at least like the game series that you go in to post a comment about! That's a start, just saying... If I don't like CoD, I'm not going to the blogs to give my impressions of a reveal trailer.
The sad part is that Zelda U is coming out late 2015 and The Order is coming out in 2 months and we've seen more game play for Zelda!
I thought Nintendo could have done a little better or showed off a bit more with Mario Maker. I will tell you the most impressive thing of the show that really caught my attention. We're all of the native Japanese speaking developers polishing up their English to do everything without needing a translator! Omg seriously, that was very major to me.
This is what I can't stand about the gaming community. So Nintendo shows a very short trailer for Zelda U at e3 and people want to see more. The game is still in development and has close to a year before it's released and you actually have people critiquing what they saw as if Nintendo is known for releasing unfinished games. This is why we don't get early information about stuff that often from Nintendo. I actually think many don't understand what still in development means....

Still not sold on No Man's Sky and The Order though. Bloodborne, Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Online looked great
I think the craziest thing about your comment is that Nintendo most likely took anything out that would spoil the game. Their main point was to show off the vastness of the world and some combat on horseback, you act as if they're shipping the game next week!

Nintendo needs to do something to light a fire under the European markets. I understand that they like western made 3rd party titles, but they tend to be more trendy gamers or whatever is marketed to them the most. I am still shocked and appalled by how well Aliens Colonial Marines continued to sell over there for the longest.
I have to disagree with you, yes a few developers have come out and claimed support for UE4, nothing like during the 7th gen when Epic pretty much had a lock on games being made using UE3. More people are using UE4 now that they made it free to smaller developers and reduced the licensing fees. But primarily most developers are still creating their own engines this generation. How many games have come out thus far using UE4?

There was so much trash talked about the 1st game it's ridiculous! But it's great either way that a possible sequel is in the making. I felt even from this games unveiling that it has a lot of potential still to grow.
I love it, so they hyped unreal engine 4 and nobody is really using that for games and now they are moving on to UE4.6! Good luck with that... Epic got way too cocky during the 7th generation with UE3 and barely anyone cares about UE4.
I don't think the quality of the game was what people were questioning. At the time when Nintendo really needed to showcase the identity of the WiiU, another great platforming game wasn't what the console needed at that time. Just like 3d World is an amazing game, but many were sure that Nintendo would have put out a true 3d Mario in the vain of Galaxy and 64.
It was rumored that Nintendo picked up a number of games that were canceled, what if they are partnering with Namco-Bandai and this is one of them.
After 2014 there should be an extra layer of precaution about every game that sounds too good to be true.
Nobody knows because as much as this game gets hyped, no one has played it! Not saying it won't be an ok or good game. But saying it will dominate 2015 is laughable knowing that we have games coming from proven developers.
If UC4 is running at 1080p 60fps, then that's all that needs to be said. It is known that UC4 will be an amazing game, the same can't be said for The Order!
