Activision would never sell Spyro to anyone. Skylanders is just too big, the toy sales, the game sales and the fan base is just too big. Crash on the other hand hasn't done anything in a while.
Price, I thought Sony would have learned from the PS3 launch that people aren't willing to pay huge amounts for gaming hardware at launch. By the time you buy the Vita + tax and a memory card its over $300 and that's before you even buy a game.
Developers wont support something that people aren't going to buy, because it costs money to develop games and if nobody is buying games, they'll just lose money on it.
A little food for thought, the la...
I think there are a couple of feelings that come to my mind when it concerns HD remakes.
1.Cash grab-Its easy to simply convert these games to HD and implement Trophies/Achievements.
2.Obviously I feel like backwards compatibility took a huge hit this generation, instead of people complaining, they kind of just took it, meaning we might have to buy games we already bought yet again.
3.I think it can be a waste of resources, even though they are easy...
Whats wrong with testing something for next gen? Achievements will carry over, so will this. Its only an option. Microsoft has actually done some really nice things, especially this year. I've gotten 3 or 4 free games from them, free MS Points via surveys and Bing searches. Its helped me get The Walking Dead games for nothing.
They have had Avatar Awards in games for years now, there is really a ton of content. I don't see how anyone could complain about this, or any ...
Well this is N4G, unless its Sony giving people things, its a bad thing!
Seriously though, I think this is a nice little option, especially for those of use that play a lot of games. I also complete the survey each month and do Bing searches and get about 400-500 MS Points a week that way. I guess that's been a ruse too /S
It has two controllers and Halo 4 bundled with a 320 gig Xbox 360. I think its priced about in line with what these specialty consoles go for.
If Microsoft came out with a super slim Xbox 360 and kept the price the same, then there would be reason to complain, but this is just a special edition console, which should probably cost more, for the content, your getting a good deal.
If it dropped to $99 I'd buy it as a PC monitor. Probably wouldn't use the 3-D aspects though, I've also heard that this monitor has some issues and is prone to breaking.
Well you have to remember that this generation ended up being longer than any other generation in the history of gaming. I think both Microsoft and Nintendo believe in strong launch lineups and that would be the ideal time to launch new IP's.
I always hear people complain about lack of new IP's, but when they are released, nobody buys them. Yet they buy up Gears, Halo, Forza, Fable ect...
So you cant really complain if your not really buying or suppor...
Master Chief is the Microsoft mascot, of course it'll be pivotal. Can you imagine what Microsoft would be without that franchise? I don't think anyone (maybe Nintendo) relies on their mascot or a franchise more than Microsoft does with Halo.
People buy Microsoft consoles just for Halo, so obviously it'll be a big part of the Xbox 720 and even beyond that.
Well it makes sense to boost security, you want to actually surprise people, and you don't want to tip your hand before the biggest exclusive of the year comes out (Halo 4).
I suspect Microsoft will host its own event before E3, probably in April, and they'll announce the Xbox 720, we'll get full demo's and games on the stage at E3 though.
Really looking forward to some new Microsoft hardware.
The American Revolution was revolutionary, its a great setting and I'm glad they decided to change it up. I think we were all getting a little bored with the settings that all blended together and looked alike.
Cant wait to get AC3!
Hmmm, I cant put "Halo 4" and "fail" in the same context. Halo 4 is looking like the biggest and best Halo ever created.
The funny thing is that people write those articles just to get hits and the Sony fans give it to them.
I don't see hardly any trolling in those, mostly its delusional Sony fans that admit nothing and deny everything else.
Even if those negative articles had trolls, they are negative in nature. This is a positive article and its full of Sony trolls. Just like Microsoft having its own SyFi show, that is a positive that is turned into a negative by the id...
Never did Biorware ever say Mass Effect would never go to another platform. Once EA bought out Bioware I figured it was only a matter of time before it went to other consoles.
Its not the same situation with Gears Of War or Alan Wake, which have seen both of those companies come right out and say those games will never appear on a Sony platform.
Microsoft actually owns plenty of IP's if they ever want to put out something exclusive, they also have over ...
Wow, what is with the idiots trolling this? Achievements actually get you discounts and free Avatar items now, how the heck can people complain about free stuff? Well I guess if you don't even have an Xbox 360 and just like to butt in on every Microsoft topic your on the right site!
Not really, they had a ton of family friendly and casual titles early on with the PS2. Heck, the Eye Toy was released back in 2003, which was very early.
I see what your trying to convince me of, but Sony actually did a great job with the PS1/PS2 at capturing all types of gamer's, my mom had both consoles.
I actually like Sony's push for family and casual gamer's this year and heading into next. It was something the PS1/PS2 both had, but the PS3 has been lacking. Game looks fun, so hopefully it lives up to my expectations.
Well Halo 4 is probably going to be one of the best, if not THE best game of 2012. People around here are insecure, especially when it comes to Microsoft and anything successful from Microsoft.
The games have gotten progressively worse, the first one on the original Xbox is still the best in my opinion. They tried to bring in a new audience for the series, and that never works out well. The original audience turned its back on the series and they failed to capture a new audience, which left them with nothing.
Although I did see the NG3 Collectors Edition for $39 over the past weekend, they'd have to pay me $39 to take that crap.
They wont sell him off, he's probably too expensive to even appear in PlayStation All Stars, how the heck would Sony afford to buy him outright?
Sounds like wishful thinking to me, I bought Skylanders based off the Spyro name.
