I wouldn't call that a remake, not in the sense of how the fans want one. That was...something else with Twin Snakes lol

Konami will raise it from the dead eventually. Will it be good? Probably not but you never know.

It definitely won't be what it was! We know that much. You can't fake the style of someone as odd as Kojima. The little details won't be there.

But that doesn't mean it'll suck. We'll see.
Reports were recently stating that Konami was possibly already working on something MGS related.

An 8.9/10 just feels more real and accurate than either the 10s or the 3s. I'm pretty sure it'll be about what I'll rate it after everything I've heard about it.

No. I think you either were always going to get it and reviews haven't dampened that feeling or you were always on the fence and the reviews probably kept you there.

There are aspects I KNOW I won't like. The stupid gestures to the camera, drinking Monster Energy (really, wtf), etc. Yet, the main game still has me excited. Reviews have basically asserted what I thought would be the case and that's that the game won't be for everyone.

I...

In your own erotic fanfiction. You're into snowballing and it just so turns out that Kojima likes it, too!

Or...or I made a mistake and posted this under the wrong review of the 1800 we've seen since Midnight. That's possible but doesn't change the point.

Fanboys are going full 10s and haters 4s. The truth is probably in the middle.

The reviews are exactly what I thought they'd be and I'm not sure I wanted to be right. Every review is perfect or awful LOL

It should be noted that the reviewer here is a personal friend of Kojima's. Not saying that doesn't make the game a 10/10 but it also suggests you should take it with that on mind.

I'm yet to play it (obviously). I suspect that it's a good game that is both getting praised and bombed to extremes due to being ...

Absolutely.

Probably a little but not significantly. Those that overwhelmingly prefer PC will probably wait but if you use your PS4 at all you'll probably just grab it for it rather than wait until Summer.

Sony had to ok this and while I didn't think they would I think it's a good thing. You'd have to be a pretty massive fanboy to not want as many playing this as possible.

I literally just tried the game and I hate to say that it absolutely didn't grab me at all. After 4 hours I was bored and mostly felt like I was playing a bad Fallout game.

It's hard to explain. On one hand it basically IS a Fallout game. So much from the general look to quest systems to the fine details are taken straight from Fallout. It adds a few neat, new things but it's not enough to be it's own thing.

After the reviews I was really ...

If it creates retarded articles like this I'm all for it.

I don't think that's the point.

They're saying that it still feels a lot like a PS1 game. Remakes tend to update controls to some degree.

Frostpunk, Tetris and Dishonored 2 are valid. The rest kinda sucked and were properly reviewed. Within reason at least.

The rest were much more bad than good.

I'm a MGS fanboy and loved MGS4. It wow'd me, for sure.

But no like U2 outside of a few moments.

Both terrific for sure.

It was maybe the first PS3 game to truly wow people and show what it was capable of from a technical standpoint. Add in a terrific story and gameplay to have it be as special as it was/is.

Other titles impressed me and made me happy that I spent that $600 but U2 was the first that made me want to show everyone. Like, everyone. Relatives that didn't play games, etc. It floored me.

A lack of an immediate Bully sequel makes total sense to me in the Rockstar sense.

Their attitude is that you don't have more than 1 major titles out at the same time. GTAV still sells like a newer title and generates a ton of cash. I'm willing to bet that they hated releasing RDR2 when they did because GTAV was still doing so well.

With this mentality, I can't think of a time to release Bully 2. Every release window since possible sequel (200...

Yes. More this gen than any since PS3 because not only is PS4 a massively successful device that many will still be using, it's also not going to be that big of a jump between gens. Games will look a lot more similar than the jump from PS1-PS2, etc.

Being the same architecture and following such a huge console kind of demands BC support. To ignore it this gen would be a bad move.

Some. I'm a huge fan of his work (all but Zone of The Enders) and I remain open to anything anyone makes to be great, bad or in-between.

Even DS, I have never once thought there was "no way" the game could be bad or mediocre. I HOPE it's great but do keep the possibility open that it won't be and I'll judge it as a work first and foremost, not with the caveat that it was made my Kojima.

Again, I say this as a massive fan of his w...
