Pretty sure.... everyone saw this coming... Especially after you needed an adapter for the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X...
Right... So why isn't Sony... Or even Nintendo jumping on the chance to publish the sequel? I will say... I played through the the first Sunset Overdrive and I enjoyed it quite a bit and I'd like to see a sequel... But, in a business since I almost have to agree with MS for not publishing it with how poorly it sold... I'd love to see Sony snag it and I'd buy it on PS...
First game sold like crap... why reinvest? I don't see any other publisher step up to the plate... (Sony or Nintendo) yet either...
Soooo... what she is talking about is microtransactions aren't very useful in single player games... Shannon does a terrible job overall and should be fired.
I see lots of thumbs downs that really shouldn't be there on various comments... Please remember this is a Sony forum and no positive MS news or comments will be tolerated.
I like how everyone is so concerned with kids... yet loot boxes are also in adult games that don't target children as well... you know what else is a loot box that targets children... those Minecraft, Marvel, DC little box toys you can't see what figure you are going to get and those target children in just about every store on the shelf eye-level with a child's average height... where is the outrage?
Why is it a headache? MS put it in its own little clearly marked section warning gamers the game isn't a full product and a work in progress... doesn't seem difficult to implement or a headache... It helps gamers shape the game... it's not terrible feature to have... But I don't think it should be required either...
It's a good way developers can get fluid feedback by gamers so the finished product is a much better game than it would have been... nothing wrong with a game preview program... Just because Sony doesn't have it doesn't mean it's bad. I am not saying it's a good reason to skip a release on a different console though...
@Lostbytes
That's because the entire premise of this game is being in an MMO pirate crew... So if your trying to play it as if it has a single player mode... Yes the game will probably suck...
Not attacking what your saying... But, this was built as a multi-player title from the ground up... I was really hoping for a single player mode myself... But, enough of my friends are going to buy it to put a crew together. Hopefully a single player mode will...
Only an indie? Look at all the 100+ games already to receive Xbox One X enhancements... I don't think it's only this one indie developer... Are those well over 100+ games indie based games? Here is a link to games receving updates to take advantage of X1X power. Heck of a lot more than just indie games on that list.

Honestly, this is something that EA should have been more upfront about instead of stating "No Game Shall ever be removed"... They could have added a caveat that sports games xx years old would be reviewed for removal/removed if an updated version of that game is available on the service... But, they didn't and that would have avoided this bad PR for a company that already has a less than stellar reputation...
LOL... You doubt that... Okay... What insider information do you have? You don't like Xbox... Cool so stick with Sony They have a nice system and great games too...
After reading that interview... I'm not really sure how Shannon has a job... And this is coming from a primarily Xbox player, and I dabble in a little PS and Nintendo on the side... If this is the road MS will go I may see PS and Nintendo get a bigger slice of my gaming... So if I understand correctly it was her job to oversee Crackdown 3 and Scalebound... Crackdown 3 had a major delay and Scalebound was canceled after a lengthy development time-line in which I'm sure lots of resour...
Well honestly... Publishers and developers were never in it as a hobby to keep poor gamers happy...they are in it for profits make no mistake about that, to keep their company running and employees paid plus research and development of current/future platforms and programming code... Micro-transactions in this case loot boxes is one way they can keep making money off of a game post initial sale... To help keep the business open and programmers/artists employed and research and development mov...
Slippery slope... you got to be-careful how far you push this... after all is buying a pack of sports cards, or a miscellaneous boxed toy figure (think Minecraft, Marvel, DC Etc...) gambling as well, both of which target children and adults? After all you simply pick the pack or box, but don't control what you get... Technically speaking purchasing something without complete control of the product you receive is gambling... Pretty much exact set-up with loot boxes... You simply purchas...
I honestly was never aware this was happening... But I never really got caught up on the whole dark souls games either...
Video gaming console/PC VR isn't there yet... Haven't heard $ h 1 t about Sony VR since it released... heard very little about Rift and Vive since it released.... Windows mixed reality/VR headsets are destined to be the same... If I was MS I'd stay on their current path which seems more like a partnership than building their own VR set...
Rate is making SoT? You mean Rare? Yes, but they are a first party developer under the (Microsoft game divisions)... So yes, it would be a Microsoft developed game, because MS is footing the bill for their own studio they own 100% to make the game.
Nothing complicated... Sure they lost quite a bit if money on the first due to it selling poorly and don't want to take the risk this time around... Will Sony or Nintendo step up? Or is it too complicated?
