After Sony attempted and failed with the PS Vita... I doubt MS would head into the handheld arena. There really isn't any need for them to bring one out.
So Sony isn't interested in DLC for their games... Release a base model game and that's it no PAID DLC comes out no expansions with a fee? Wouldn't that be GaaS? As you need to pay to access additional content for a game you already own... Anyone who says no gaming company is interested in GaaS... is Full of S**** or doesn't know what they are talking about... plain and simple. All companies want to MAXIMIZE profits especially for AAA releases beyond their initial $60 purch...
Will it be the last? Probably not... Why? because unless Sony, MS, and Nintendo open up their consoles to allow them, consumers, to upgrade features on their own (like graphics cards and possible RAM expansion) eventually whether the games are digital or not they will require more powerful hardware to run... They may not get updated or refreshed as often... But, even in a digital age, the next official console upgrades will probably not be the last... MS, Sony, and Nintendo will not want to...
Unreal01... You are smart enough to realize that PUBG was released into the GAME PREVIEW section... meaning it is in BETA form and a work in progress right?
You're not allowed to have your own opinion on a game. Everyone on this forum tells you what games your allowed to like. I guess you didn't know you weren't allowed to find this game boring, but now you do. You're also not allowed to like any Xbox games either.
Wow... Fake news... he misspoke and corrected himself with the correct term of F-35. He probably doesn't even know about the COD franchise yet alone a fictitious jet in the COD game.
I could see ms supporting 2 gens at a time... like X1 and X1X... then X1X and Next Gen Xbox... with 100% back Compatibility with older Xboxes...
Can't you change your ps4 region download and switch Back? Isn't ps4 region free?
Negative... If MS ever bought EA... No games would be multiplat that were made by EA... Minecraft was a different scenario a single money making game that already had super deep ties to all platforms including cell phones... Vs a brand new studio... Now whether EA and MS would have to give up the rights for the NFL would be a different story... It would solve the issue of two separate game subscription services though as EA's service could be rolled right into MS game pass sub...
@Rainslacker What made Kinect a failure? The simple fact no developer... Wanted to develop games for it? The fact you could count all the actual good games on one hand... (Kinect sports 1&2, Kinect Adventures (pack-in)) There I'm done can you add anymore good games to the list?
Correct @Kribwalker and Balance2theforce.. Initially Kinect was a success and sold many millions of units... However, not making the right type of games for it (Kinect Sports 1 was really fun)... But had so few and far between games it crashed hard and was ultimately deemed a failure...
@Gwiz... Yea... Sony never forced it on you... But, when Kinect sold really well... neither did MS... Kinect absolutely destroyed the PSVR in terms of sales (that's undisputable) and wa...
This is Sony's Kinect... Enough said.
So... You're saying they aren't accurate... But, go by them? That doesn't represent logic in itself...
When it said according to VG chartz it lost all credibility.... also doesn't include digital sales... probably more than physical sales.
This is the problem Vince... "I Think The Creative Freedom Is Still Here".... Why do you only think the creative freedom is still there... This is something you should know...
Almost ALL big game releases will feature microtransactions in some form or another... If you can't co-exist with microtransactions by either accepting them and occasionally purchasing them or simply ignoring them... You might as well exit gaming...
Every system will more than likely launch with a 1-2TB HDD for the foreseeable future, because of costs... Most gamers simply buy the external HDD option to add extensive amounts of space for their game downloads. Everyone knows this... Why would this be a "tragic Flaw" if MS put like a 4TB HDD as the internal HDD that would have been the tragic flaw, because if it's already $500... Imagine the cost with a 4TB internal HDD... Way too costly at that point... *Article notes may...
Why sell your company to EA when Respawn were just talking crap about EA and the way EA supported Titan Fall 2 in the run-up to release day and marketing? Titan Fall 2 sold terribly and EA put all focus on their Battlefield release. If Titan Fall 3 or whatever their next release is sells like Titan Fall 2... I wouldn't imagine Respawn being around more than 3-4 years...
Lets face it... Most consoles are 500GB to 1TB... for any type of serious gamer an external HDD is almost a must buy anyway... I seriously doubt you will see 4-8TB consoles offered anytime soon or over the horizon would just be way too expensive .... Some games are getting up to 100GB without 4K... So of course with 4K file sizes will be even bigger.. If you invest in a $500 console for 4K experience... You're not willing to invest in a $100-$115 HDD to save all your games on? This does...
Companies can learn from other companies failures... What would MS bring to the table the PS Vita didn't? You think MS only looks at what MS does? Nope, you look at competitors too and takes notes on what works and what doesn't and why it didn't work. I don't think an Xbox handheld would have any other fate than that of the PS Vita. MS has stated multiple times the handheld market is diluted, because of all the powerful smartphones hundreds of millions of people already ow...
