Microsoft does this all the time. It's typical for companies to pay for exclusive content. This isn't Bungie "Sticking it" to MS this is Bungie accepting a boat load of cash from Sony for Exclusive Content.

The Xbox/games division is more of a side venture for MS and don't need it to work out for the long term business success of the company. MS could pull-out of the games market and do just fine.

But, if they don't turn a PROFIT they face the AXE. It will still be cheaper picking up the Bundle than the X1 and Kinect separately.. So for people like myself who has two daughters and I'll probably utilize the Kinect down the road it still saved me cash by picking up the bundle. So I don't mind.

Kinect has already done it's long term damage. How? MS planned to include it bundled for the life cycle of the X1. So MS underpowered the X1 to make up the cost difference of bundling the Kinect w/ X1. Now that it is unbundled X1 will get a small jump in performance, but crippled X1 power for the long term.
It's coming out on X1 and PS4 as well as PS3 and X360... Any move and money wasted is as pointless as all the money MS dumped on COD for "timed Exclusive" DLC....

If you actually read his comment that's exactly what he states... He never states the$20B in revenue is from the Xbox Division... Be he does correctly state that almost 2 Billion of that is from the Devices and Consumer hardware (Xbox is part of that division)

When developers refer to resolution they don't ever mean "upscaled" they ALWAYS mean what it runs natively... Otherwise EVERY game would run 1080p on any TV capable of 1080p, because the X1 and PS4 upscale every game that isn't 1080p native.

Wish people would STFU and simply buy the system they like. Doesn't matter if X1 is a sinking ship. If an individual likes the following game franchises:
Forza, Forza Horizon, Gears of War, Fable, Halo, crackdown, Killer Instinct, and Rare games (Which, may start making good ones again now that Kinect is less of a focus).
That alone seems like more than enough reasons to own X1.
