the wii has a massive library of some truly great games that i think people are a little to quick to dismiss. if you own a wii and only think 2 games are worth while youre passing up some great fun experiences. (technically twilight princess is a gamecube game.) im not gonna sit here and list games but you should check out some of the underrated gems of the system like zack and wiki, madworld, a boy and his blob and muramasa like asyouburn mentioned. thats only a very very small sliver of the...
I like hd graphics, and online play but more importantly I like my wii. this article is just the standard weekly "i don't like wii" list that we've all seen hundreds of times. the author makes some weak points and assumptions. its not the first and certainly not the last
both story and gameplay are important as they go hand in hand. but if you had to chose one or the other then it would have to be gameplay. story is only the medium to draw you in and push you forward but if the gameplay is so repetitively boring, broken, or lackluster it would be kind of hard to continue onward. yet the question is asking for 1 or other and everyone has a preference.
theres definitely 2 sides to that argument cause i thought the gameplay was fun.
used games and piracy are no where near the same. i understand that in both instances the developer doesnt get any money but im not stealing the game if im buying used. i always go for the lowest price on games whether it be used or new. first i try to find the cheapest price new and compare it to used prices. if its a 5 dollar difference then ill just buy new, i really dont care to save 5 dollars when i can get the game new and sealed. yet if a used game comes out to a 15-25 dollar differenc...
what i always find funny is how there are continuous articles and blogs from people explaining why they bought a wii, like it somehow needs justification. the wii isnt a technical powerhouse, we know that already, but it seriously has some of the most fun games ive played this gen or ever really. if i were to think of my favorite top 10 games ive played this gen wii titles would probably take 6-8 spots easily.
last guardian will be the best game of 2011. thats if it doesn't get delayed.
eternal darkness 2 would be absolutely insane. sadly, i doubt we'll ever see a sequel.
the darkness was a pretty awesome game so a sequel will be much welcomed.
graphics matter, of course, i just wish it wasn't to the extent it is now. screenshot comparisons, demo/game comparisons, and pixel counting is getting ridiculous.
i hope they implement the same kind of online system that we see in demons souls. it was a blast to invade someones world while they were making their way through a level and crush any hopes they had of making it to the end haha. on the flipside, it was just as much fun to join a room and cooperatively defeat the boss. it was a pretty unique system.
yah, it was affected by wi fi. even if it was broken at e3, there is no way nintendo is going to release a zelda game with motion plus that doesnt work.
honestly you really could beat the game with any class. no matter what class you picked it was gonna be a challenge but the challenge never came from poor level design or the computer cheating. if you died it was your own fault every time. then again, that allowed you to take a different approach when you had to retry and learn from your mistakes.
of course. go to any gaming forum or site and you'll see a plethora of gamers whining and complaining on a non stop basis. its not necessarily the majority or the norm but it definitely a little to common when it comes to anything game related.
wrong article. this should have been posted in the dark souls article. i had to many tabs open at once.
after reading the article, dark souls sounds ridiculously awesome. it seems like its gonna be more challenging and more in depth than demons souls which is a plus. i dont ever buy games day 1 cause im a cheap gamer haha but i think i might have to start saving my money so i can get this on release day.
jak and daxter please
i bought cave story for 10 dollars on dsiware and im enjoying the game more than i thought. i really like the exploration aspect of the game and the music is fantastic. leveling up your weapons is also addicting. for 10 dollars you get a lot of value.
the reason i didnt or havent bought the game yet is because the game itself is 6 hours with no extras or unlockables. i enjoy the types of games similar to enslaved with great character development and streamlined action. its just that there are to many games to spend the cash on 1 6 hour game. i plan on buying it when it hits the 20 dollar mark though and i look forward to playing it. its just that in the scope of all the games out currently that i still have to play, enslaved falls to the b...
im currently playing wind waker for the 1st time. i had passed it up and never got a chance to play it till now. even though its a gamecube game it looks fantastic on my hdtv. even if it looked a little rough id still be playing it. its a very fun game so far.
