it depends on the game. currently speaking, i dont find myself replaying a whole lot of games from this gen but i still play last gen games daily. currently replaying through the kingdom hearts series on the ps2. ive also probably played shenmue about 10 times through from start to finish. ill probably end up playing it a few more times before the year is over. overall there are a lot of games i play more than once or over and over but like i said non are really from this gen. viewtiful joe, ...
well its not that nintendo needs something new its more along the lines that gamers want something new. nintendos 1st party titles always sell hundreds of millions of copies so they are in no rush to try to bring something brand new to the market. they have however done a pretty good job revitalizing their ips with different ideas and concepts which i think is fine to a lot of nintendo fans including myself.
movies based on games and games based on movies are generally lackluster at best. it would have been cool so see a real dark, gritty, violent, story heavy movie based on bioshock or directly related to bioshock that fleshed out the story more but like i said its usually a bad thing.
i understand the point that the writer is trying to make but mass effect 2 can stand on its own with out playing the 1st. of course youre gonna miss some huge, crucial plot points and the development of certain characters but youll eventually understand who and what is going on. it may take time but should you skip mass effect 2 and eventually 3 just because you didnt play the first? well, in my opinion, no. the way mass effect 2 splits the missions into different character sub plots and main...
episode 1 was decent. controlling sonic felt somewhat awkward if youre used to the original. i liked episode 1 but not as much as i thought. i think my nostalgia got the best of me so i dont know if id be so tempted to purchase another episode. on a good note, sonic colors is a really good game. i was actually surprised at how much fun i had playing it. if we had more 3d sonic games that went in the same direction as colors id be happy.
insomniac has always done great work and im sure this time will be no different.
the days of playing alone are fading for sure. but there are still gamers who mainly play single player. to be honest with you i dont play online at all. not one game. i enjoy local multiplayer or local co op every now and then but nintendo shouldn't abandon great single player ips like donkey kong in favor of online match making just because its the "norm." it would be nice if they had a more robust online feature where the co op games could go online, as im sure many gamers w...
well its not that we necessarily need it but its nice that i have the option to play one of my all time favorite games in the 3d. it still appeals to certain gamers such as myself.
its an fps so no need to worry, it will sell.
well it wasent bad but it wasent great. just medicore. personally though, i enjoyed the game. for what it was and what it was trying to accomplish i had a blast. i like the wii controller for shooters to. you do have to tweak you're settings a bit but once you find the sweet spot it can be pretty fun. if you have a wii its one of those games you should play. the game is cheap anyways, it like 15-20 bucks new.
the virtual console is no where near a failure. there is a ridiculous amount of classic games on the service. it has slowed down tremendously and of course there could always be more games, as you can never have to many, but theres quite a bit of content already.
how is playing wow different than any other game? some people spend hundreds of hours on wow and i know people who spend even more time playing games like cod. they are all games in the grand scope of things. why should you care? there are people who have all those things and still play wow, it makes no difference. so how about you go outside instead of sitting on the internet complaining?
if the game is a very story heavy game i usually play on easy, sometimes normal, its all the same. i want to get the experience of the game, characters and mood or setting without repeatedly trying a level over and over just to get to the next point. once ive completed the game i like to go back and challenge myself on the hardest difficulty now that i know the layout and im familiar with how the game works. everyone has their preference but it somewhat depends on the game and genre as well. ...
you shouldnt be entitled to anything to begin with. at least youre getting something for free. quit complaining.
i have a feeling nintendo will do some kind of holograhpic/3d console next. thats just my prediction though.
i liked metroid other m. of course were not talking about the best game of the series but it holds true to the metroid name and was a blast to play. i wanna see a 2d side scrolling metroid on wii thats heavy on exploration and big on action. if other m was a pure 2d side scroller i think it would have done much better. good game though.
yah i do agree that the limited edition should stay limited. i mean thats the whole point. if its just the game and case thats cool with me as thats pretty much what im looking for. im not really interested in the book and cd, its pretty neat, but i just never collect those kinds of things anyways. i guess we'll have to wait and see how they decide to reprint, if its gonna be the whole package or just the game. it should be just the game in my opinion though.
i think its safe to say that a reprint is pretty much confirmed. i missed the opportunity to pick this up the 1st time around and any one selling a copy wants 60-90 dollars. i want a copy but id never pay that much for it so im glad i can get it now for a fair price.
if you havent played 1 and 2 this is a must buy. the games are classics. id buy them if i didnt already own dawn of souls on the gba.
pre ordered mine today. i didnt want to miss out this time around.
