Sony as whole needs of restructuring but nowhere near bankruptcy.
They are 3 billion down(not 6 billion like some idiot like have claimed) and their networth is estimated at 190 billion.
they could operate at loss for another ten years and still not have to file for bankruptcy .
Sony are going the nintendo route.
Less games, more money available for marketing.
But i am sure that the same people who complained about sony,s lack of advertising will complain about the lack of exclusive content.

Actually, since sony laid of their PR team, playstation brand as a whole have enjoyed their highest rate of commercial exposure here in europe.
At the moment, you see 3 times more advert for vita and ps3 than for nintendo. I have never seen that before. Sony is on the roll.

I am a playstation fan myself and like the fact that sony gives the publishers the technology to try something new on an old platform.
But great technology without great support will always be a missed opportunity.
So yes ps3 / vita can do similar things than wiiu but i don,t think it will be supported the same way.

1080p? Wiiu launch games are not 1080 p apart from 2d games like mario wiiu, legocity, nintendolands...

Ps3 160 g = £199.00 vita Lbp bundle= £189.00
total = £388
wiiu 32 g= £329.00
£60.00 difference is not that much, especially when you think the superior technology of the vita compares to the wiiu pad.
If sony were to bundle the ps3 and vita with lbp2 for £389.00, i am convinced they could sell a lot of those bundle.
And third party publishers would start to integrate cross play features on The ps3 vers...
That is the all point. People who buy a nintendo is first and foremost for playing nintendo games and in order for nintendo to grab the core audience(the cod, fifa, assassin creed .....Kind of players) they will have to show to thirdparty publishers that wiiu can be more than just a gap between the current and next gen.
But to be honest, i don,t think sony wll go crazy on ps4 cost either. I think they will try to build something eith good specs but mostly something that can ...

wiiu is about to launch and having a game like zombie u is already a good example of the potential of the machine. But it s only a launch game, and as playstation fans, you and i know better than that.
if you were comparing resistance 1 on ps3 and black on ps2 you would think ps3 is not that much powerful,

Appart from the big nintendo fans , most core gamer won,t go crazy for wiiu at launch due to the fact that 90% of the launch games offering is already available on ps3/360 or comig out at the same time.

Hmv and Games sell the 12 g for 185.00 with the choice any brand new game.
So that means it is more in the region of 150.00.
And you compare the wiiu, a machine that has a slightly updated current gen gpu and cpu, that doesn,t play dvd or blueray, that comes with 32g and 1 shovel ware game for 300.00 with a machine that still have in my opinion has lot of power left, that plays every single disc formats, free network, 500g, uncharted3 game of year edition + dust 514 ...
Sony is in prime position to have a good holyday season.
By now, they are more concern to make a better profit on each machines than trying to catch the competition. They made the mistake last year when they underestimated people interest in ps3 and cut the price way to early and therefore lost a lot of revenue because of that.
And just a little reminder to all NA gamers. What you guys pay for gaming is nothing compares to what the rest of the world pay for .

Playing with the ps3 network makes it lag free. I play in my kitchen wich is about 8 meters from the living room and have no issue with it.
My main concern is the sensivity of the back touch when using it instead of l2, l3, r2, r3.
