they could, like, let the user switch them off completely. like not only not showing them to others but just to push them off. but i know this will not happen as they are not something to brag about but the should animate others to also play a certain game and therefore getting more $
i like tomb raider much better than uncharted. uncharted is do damn overdone. while tomb raider brings in a bit of fresh air. but only so far. another installment of tomb raider i am going to ignore, too.
it is nintendo. It is known that they got a very hostile and careless attitude towards their customers. so i am surprised that it is just the dlc that they are putting behind this paywall. what baffles me is that people seem to like to get treated like that.
i am not concerned. it is the rule of the market that a sequel seldomly surpasses the predecessor in sales figures. so they are trying to make up for that with microtransactions. too bad only a very tiny fraction of gamers goes to blogger sites to read about their hobby. so i guess they will be getting away with it. minus my wallet.
the xoxbox will be sitting there right away on the shelves looking good. that's about all that will happen. but then again, people are buying something like the switch, so who knows how many are out there who really don't focus on gaming and want more of a multimedia experience. at the moment it feels like the consoles branch of microsoft will die with a bang.
haven't been in one for years now. don't miss it. i hope for them they already switched to digital distribution but who would want that if you got the psn to download them directly?
yeah the majority can keep their wallets closed and those not-indie devs will soon go "it looked promising but really not worth our investment".

the ps4 images on the usenet have been floating around for quite a while now. as in years.
but personally, i would not risk getting banned and thus losing my trophy count ;-)
with the past nintendo machines it was like that. a few hours after nintendo hurled out their latest anti piracy update there always was an update to the now disalbeled mod chips. piece of cake. i would get a switch an mod it but there are just no games on that platform i even would want to play for free.
the switch sales figures are baffling me. they are 10 times higher than i expected they would be. but still, i say they are not going above 10 million units during the lifetime of the switch.
how will the switch outsell the ps4 when the estimated lifetime sales of the switch will stay below 10 million units sold? source: law of the series. with the exception of the wii every n-console sold less than its predecessor. they never managed to top their heyday. instead they have been on a steady decline for about 2 decades now. seeing that nintendo is again way too arrogant, there is nothing that is going to break this law of the series.
