To say that it is impossible for the PS3 to close a 7mil gap in one year is to say that you haven't studied history. Everyone thought that it was impossible for Wii to close the 7mil gap xbox360 had, but it's been done now hasn't it. The only reason Sony hasn't is due to it's price being 2x that of the Wii. Now that it is only $50 more than the Wii, and tied with the Elite, expect the impossible to happen... again.

Actually, SEGA introduced MS to the console gaming industry. They wanted MS to develop their online service for the DreamCast. Somewhere along the line ties got severed and MS used the service developed for SEGA as the backbone for XBox and XBox Live.

Last paragraph says a lot about how realistic and forward thinking Sony is.
Everyone who doesn't have a PS3 that I told about the price drop is getting one. While the 360 has been at $300-$400 for a year, no one got excited when I told them the elite would be $300 as well. Makes me wonder if this is just a localized response or representative of the gaming community in general.
Anyway, we all know there will be a major spike in ps3 sales. How much will likely depend more on how many Sony can get into stores. As of Right now the Demand is through the roof...
I believe that Sony's motion controls will actually benefit from the Wii. Since both the Wiimote and the "wands" use the same middleware, many of the Wii's third party devs will already have the needed coding experience to produce ps3 games. Add to this Sony's deep lineup of first party devs and you have the potential for some AAA motion control gaming by the end of 2010.

playing KZ1 then playing KZ2 really helps fill in the background story.
I also expect 2 more games in this story. The next one, KZ3, will feel like Empire Strikes Back. It will feel more hopeless than KZ2 and some dark secret about the ISA will be revealed. Also, Vehkta will be getting attacked so your going to be back on familiar ground for those who played KZ1.
KZ4 will be similar to Return of the Jedi emotionally. Basically, Sev (or whoever the main char is) will ...
Hope they find a way to upgrade them to match the improved Terran and Protoss forces.

I was out of town and over to my friends house last week with my ps3 and he has 360. Him and his son where playing Halo3 and while watching it I was inspired to get my FPS on. I poped in KZ2 and after the second match I looked up to find everyone was watching me play KZ2. On the ride back Sunday he began hinting that he might be interested in getting a PS3, coincidence maybe?
I've seen Both Halo and KZ2 side by side and all I can say is Halo is slow as snails when it comes to act...
Just a little over a month to go... can't wait. =D
