plus there will be plenty of F2P games released as well, which even those without PS+ can play online. Such as Planet Side 2, Tekken Revolution, War Frame are the first to come to my mind.

So your gonna get a console that has to have a constant internet connection to show your support for the troops who dont have an internet connection at all?!?

Like NioRide and my friends in the Navy have pointed out, they don't have internet connections so they need a console that can function without one. Thus why they are backing the PS4, because the XBOne requires a stable internet connection and thus wont work on the ships.

Georgeenoob,
True, but no need to rush into it.

Why give up freedom and embrace Tyranny while you still have an option to simply not support the Despotic practices that lead to Tyranny.

We are at the beginning of the Information Age and one day all Info will have some form of DRM. Till then I'd personally like to keep the flow of info open and readily available (or at least for a reasonable price), and my freedoms are currently not for sale... esp...

I just wish the Publishers would bring back the Tier Pricing System. When AAA games start out at $60, AA at $50, and A at $40.

Lets face it, not every game is a AAA title and thus are no where near worth $60. But at $40 a lot more games would get picked up on Day1, and that alone would reduce the used game market and put more money directly into Publisher's/Developer' s pockets. It's better to get $40 x2 than to get $60 once.

that does look sexy, and it's got the best of 80's & 90's gaming all in one... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Sure they want more digital downloading of games and movies. Do you know how much money they can save by not having to press a disc and case. Yet Sony is aware that not everyone's internet is fast and reliable so they have giving gamers options. Which ever we choose, digital or physical, Sony is still going to get paid so why try to force us to give them our money.

Sure gaming will go more and more digital, but only as internet speeds get faster and more reliable. Key wor...

How can anyone support a console that doesn't support the troops... THE TROOPS!!!

(cue patriotic music http://www.youtube.com/watc... )

You know those men and women putting their lives on the line so you and I can play video games in peace. Those men and women who are fighting for freedom everywhere who just want to relax and play some games in their off time. Those men and wom...

I think it has more to due with the limited specs of the machine. Devs have been making games of WiiU's level for the past 8-10 years. Developers and Gamers are ready for the next leap in gaming and WiiU just doesn't fill that role so they are supporting the PS4, Xbone, and PC instead.

Nintendo's best bet would be to tap into the indie market fast, strong, and hard since those are the primary developers who would not feel overly constrained by WiiU's specs.

DCBronco
lol, you still don't get it. MS can't share info they don't have, but if you put a kinect in your home knowing they can and will collect info at any time then shame on you.

Here's an idea, let me put webcams in every room in your house. I promise I wont peek, without your consent... ohh and you have to agree to a EUA saying you give me consent to peek when I want to.

Basically it's the same principal due to the fact that a...

I'm sorry but I just can't support the NSAbox. It's being ever increasingly revealed that MS has worked with gov surveillance programs in the past and I have no reason to believe that will change anytime soon.

I'm a gamer, been gaming for about 30 years now. I've seen enough movies and game story lines to know what happens when citizens loose their privacy to corporations and/or governments. I'm not about to give up my freedom to speak freely in my own...

It's not even funny these days how if any government agency came and said "Would you mind if we put cameras inside your home and charge you $50 a year for it... oh and it's not to keep you secure." just how many people would still think "Ok, where do I sign."

I know MS is not a government agency, but it's been working with them for some time to collect data on everyone. I now wonder how much money the NSA will give MS to advertise the xbone.

Nice to see the house doing something positive for the people for a change... then again I think it's because they know these companies would likely spy on them as well. Not to mention how hard it would be to keep corporate secrets when every Tv (or console) is spying on you and your family members. And lets not think of how bad it could get if hackers got into the system.

well now we know where part of that $100mil or was it $100bil MS was boasting that they where spending on exclusive content. Likely they could have just opened up or purchased a studio and made it 1st party with the amount of money they used to make this single game exclusive.

4686d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Also owning 1st party studios and not closing them shortly before/after they release a game helps eliminate this problem... but that's something only MS has a problem figuring out.

Heck, if it wasn't for the fact that Nintindo has so many 1st party studios, they would not have been able to even stay in the console war this long. 1st Party studios make your truely exclusive games and show just what your console is made of.

Then again, who are we to cru...
