Lol, chill Karen
I mean, it's a bit of a wet fart to go out on.
But we still got some great games for free, so I don't see any reason to complain
It's the speed that looks stilted.
You move so fast when not skating, that it doesn't work properly when they slow the pace on the skating part
The original was my personal GoTY back when it released.
It has the same melancholy vibe as Automata, plays around with genres just as much, and has multiple endings as well.
The primary difference here, would be that combat is a bit more simplistic. Not bad by any degree, but more adventure based, versus Automata's action based system.
Hope it helps :)
Then don't release buggy unpolished games, and some of the consumer trust might be re-established
Well, it's fun as hell and I'm playing on ps5... Enjoying it infinitely more than Destiny 1 and 2, and the Division
I was so happy when they announced it... Then the actual trailer played and it basically looked like a HD mobile port.
Why the hell would they give such a big remake to and Indian studio who haven't made any console games before... I was perplexed more than saddened to be honest.
Little underwhelming demo, but I love the look and atmosphere :D
Actually, he mentioned that Druckmann reached out to him, multiple times across multiple videos.
He's also pretty explicit in his videos when it comes to asking people not to harass or attack anyone.
Kefka was by far the most psychopathic villain in the FF series though. Although Kuja was up there.
Sephiroth was at least driven by purpose as opposed to just wanting everything to burn
Damn that sucks dude.
I only crashed once so far, and I'm 10 hours in.
If you honestly believe that's the reason, then you're a dumbass dude.
It's true that a minority of the people who wasn't blown away, was idiots like that, but most people have genuine critique towards the storytelling, character depth, force-feeding of current cultural themes, etc.
Even those of us who wasn't impressed, the rational ones at least, acknowledge the pure technical achievements of the game (VA work, graphics, etc.). But that's ...
You didn't really miss out on anything.
The developers were so focused on creating paid expansions and new spin off games, that they didn't even finish and optimize the first one.
It ran like a s**tshow on both PC and Consoles, with PC eventually being kind of smooth
People need to chill out. They f****d up once, and the pitchforks come out.
At least the content is there, it's just unpolished as all hell.
EA, Activision, and company, has f****d us over so many times that they haven't earned the benefit of the doubt.
I'd still wager that CDPR has, for now.
Also The Witcher 3 was a meme fest of bugs and glitches when it first came out. It got fixed, and is now one of the best RPGs on last gen console...
Just played it, it was... Unnecessary to say the least. Kind of okay, except for one mission where the marker just f***s up
I'm having a ton of fun on ps5 with it, and the game is still less glitchy for me, than vanilla Skyrim on console, so I'm all good.
CDPR made a mistake, and are now trying to fix it. I say let them. They haven't continually p****d in my face like so many other publishers.
I fully understand if people want to get refunds, and they should be allowed to, but the whole witch hunt thing is getting old quickly man.
Back when I was still playing, my GF began playing from scratch (without having gamed much of anything prior), and she became instantly infatuated.
Even got picked up by a proper guild. The game is designed to play, learn, and grow at your own pace :)
If I recall correctly, the Director said in an interview, that the graphics weren't done yet.
The story and gameplay loop were mostly done but they are still working on graphics and polish :)
Used to love the Pokemon games but honestly, at this, I would just call Gamefreak a bad developer.
They don't seem to have either creative nor development talent anymore.
Mind you, back then they hit gold once, and just stayed on with that, more or less stagnating creative growth.
Fast-tracel in Nier is kinda funny.
I hate that it's often redundant because you can run to your destination in almost the same time.
It's obviously per design, but having a kind-of travelling system just feels like a slap more than a boon sometimes.
Still my current GoTY though :D
Solid 9/10 for me personally
