Really?! Playstation is destroying digital sales and service sales and its not even close. PSN alone had more sales than the WHOLE Xbox and all their gaming divisions COMBINED. They broke the INDUSTRY record just last year. All that and the previous record they broke was their own. They're competing with themselves at this point

Especially when you see Xbox has dropped support every single generation including the recent one and it's been a bad pattern that has followed them. There's a reason why Playstation has the biggest group of gamers and its because Playstation supports their systems for lengthy times. Without their PS4 digital sales last year no way Playstation breaks the industry record.
Horizon did 10+ million in sales. That's not a small amount you can ignore. If PS5 were widely available and this wasn't a pandemic and PS5 sales were over 15 to 20 million like they should be I would say we would be into the generation quicker. But that's not the scenario
Yeah but those generations would not have worked. Your talking about PS1 limited to CDs then PS2 to DVD and PS3 to Bluray. The memory changed exponentially and different physical formats too. Whereas PS4 and PS5 are both X86 and Bluray, it's literally the 1st time they went into a new generation with shared architecture
Did PS1, PS2 and PS3 share their architecture? Nope.
The PS4 and PS5 are the only generation where both have X86 compatibility. Whereas PS1 went from CD to DVD in the PS2 to bluray with cell architecture for PS3.
Between PS3 to PS4 they changed to X86 and this is the first time both the PS4 and PS5 are both compatible in that regard. So to quote your own words. NEVER happened before. This is a 1st for Playstation between generations

As for Xbox supporting last Gen. Okay what games are actually coming to Xbox One?! All Xbox studios are so far out from actually finishing their games it will fly by that 2 year window of 'support'

Its just more wordplay from Microsoft and Xbox studios. None of their games are even ready for the next 2 years. Most seem to just be beginning production. By the time those games come out it will be well passed the 2 years they suggest they'll support Xbox One.

The only thing I can think will come is Halo, Deathloop and maybe Ghostwire. Xbox Studios idea of 'support' is trash. Considering 2 of those 3 were by Bethesda which wasn't made by Xbox studios do much as just bought Bethesda to get constant Gamepass filler
