@Madlad
So what if games take time to develop. It's still FACT that Xbox didn't have much that was noteworthy. Nintendo and Playstation had a bunch is also FACT. All you have to say for Xbox is just pathetic excuses. 2021 and 2023 have NOTHING to do with 2022. Did you forget just a week ago Spencer even agree the last 2 years have been extremely poor, add in like the last 3-4 years of the last gen and thafs 5-6 years in a row. Nintendo with less than half the...
Meh. Good for you. Bought a Xbox One based on the games they promised and they failed big time. Series S/X seem to be pretty much the same. Literally not worth the investment till games actually get released. Will be 2024 or 205 by the time they roll a line up. Rolling into year 3 and there's barely anything of note.
"WTF? LoL remind me again who said "We believe in generations" lol"
The one that released next gen only games like Returnal? Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart? Demon Souls Remake? Which next gen Xbox 1st party game were there?! Oh right NONE.
Whereas developers will constantly downgrade their vision just because they have to release on the Xbox Series S.
Exactly. By the point you put the game on subscription whatever you get paid should be pure profit and won't affect the overall sales that way.
Orchard has credibility?! Lol. Please simping around Xbox with a bunch or excuses and can't present any facts to back up absurd and idiotic claims. Not once has presented proof of anything. Ask legit questions and bails as soon as they can't explain or prove a thing.
"I don't give a shit about how many copies GOW sold or how many the sequel will sell"
No one gives a shit about your comment either. If you want to be an idiot and bring numbers into a discussion then expect numbers to be compared or shut up.
"??? Elden Ring sold more than 16 million copies"
God Of War sold 19.5 million on PS4 alone. That's not including the last year of sales and PC sales.

Ooh look at that? GoW has now sold 23.5 million copies

"Sony was the one to spearhead this change to the $70 price point."
No they didn't. Like I said Gearbox was the first to raise the price to $70. Last I checked Sony doesn't own Gearbox and Gearbox is their own publisher. Sony can't make ANY publisher raise their prices. Gearbox chose to raise their prices before Sony did. Then Sony, EA, 2K, Activision Blizzard and now Ubisoft are following suit.
If Sony did make Gearbox or plan ...
Cross gen or being 'next gen' doesn't mean they can't be bad though. Remains to be seen if these games will be 'heavy hitters' or not. All Xbox talks about is 'record engagement' like Forza Horizon recently for example. Considering that didn't really move the needle for Xbox or Gamepass then I highly doubt a new Forza or the other games you mentioned really doing anything either.
Heck if games like Back4Blood which was supposed to be b...
Sparky definitely isn't an accountant if they're even considering this as profitable.
"That was literally a Sony decision and the fact that third-party publishers were hesitant to adopt it immediately also shows that point. "
Hesitant?! How so. Sony wasn't the first to increase to $70 price though. Gearbox was. Plus EA, 2K and Activision Blizzard had no hesitation to increase prices like you suggest either. Seems you're 'facts' are literally paper thin.

Who is okay? You being a hypocrite.
"A GP price raise was inevitable, this has been discussed since it's inception"
This is you being 'okay' with rising prices. So don't talk about hypocrisy. It's NOT inevitable nor has it ever been discussed since inception. A company worth almost $2 trillion was subsidizing garmepass all along and could easily keep doing it to increase their subscriber base. They're choosing NOT ...
That's some spin there. Rationalizing the increase due to increased AAA content. Microsoft could just eat the cost and increase their subscribers to balance it out. They're just choosing not to. Just like Xbox it won't be profitable quite a while if ever if they have to account for purchases like $70 billion acquisitions. But a company worth almost $2 trillion needs these excuses to charge more?! Lol
Except Playstation did release next gen only games though. Xbox hasn't at all.
A company worth almost 2 trillion is literally giving you a heads up of an eventuality and you want to talk about how it's not happened yet. The point is it will. It's not a matter of if, but, when. Regardless of when that is happening. Barely a whimper from all those people with pitch forks and yelling 'anti-consumer'. In fact look at a couple comments here already trying to rationalize the price increase as bound to happen because of increased AAA content.
Some C, P, L and O!
@Orchard
Didn't you just call someone out for 'misinformation '?! Wow. Take a look in the mirror and look at your own comments. Seriously why are you making excuses for a company that is worth a trillion dollars?! Didn't you just say Playstation could easily cover the cost of increases and call out Playstations boss? Wouldn't it stand to reason a company worth so much more than Playstation could also eat the cost? Weren't you literally saying t...
@Lightning
Lol. Yeah your so hard on Xbox like you are on Playstation. What a hypocrite. Barely saying much is 'saying something '.
They're conditioning everyone right now what the heck do you even read?! They don't want this shock and negative reaction like when they sprung doubling Gold so suddenly so they're already preparing everyone for the eventual price increase. Why else do you think he's even being quoted this in an interview? Forget leaving a trail of crumbs does he need to throw the crumbs directly at your face to see? Probably wouldn't work anyways if you got blinders on.
Wow the first game sold 19.5 million only on Playstation 4 and they confirmed recently with PC the first game currently is at 23.5 million. If this one is already launching like this it's going to be insane sales over the lifetime of this game.
