They own both Bloodborne and Demons Souls IPs so this is absolutely stupid logic. Plus they say 3 IPs are exclusive after confirming as much as 4 Bethesda IPs are going exclusive when we really know they're lying by omission and many more Bethesda IPs will be exclusive. Not sure I get the logic that 4 games means they should own like 50 IPs they will eventually make exclusive anyways.

Its fact sales of 3rd party games have dropped off a cliff. That's from Xbox OWN reports about gamepass increasing while 3rd party game sales drop off significantly. That's on multiplatform games and from Xbox official reports.

I agree it definitely didn't work for Xbox. Eternal Sonata, Tales etc ended up on Playstation afterwards. Then Atlus and most JRPGs just started being made on Playstation only. I would know I own almost every 360 and PS3 JRPG released.
Although Apocalypse isn't wrong though. Xbox gave up investing is absolutely true. They're coming around again though recently with this upcoming Kojima exclusive and probably a couple I'm forgetting.
I highly doubt Xbox digital sales are any different. Even digital expect PSN sale to dominate Xbox sales. JRPGs don't sell well on Xbox regardless of it being physical or digital. There's a reason the releases for FF 1-6 are only on Playstation and Switch while being excluded from Xbox.

Nintendo deserves ton of props. Building up Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Smash, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and also making new franchises like Splatoon and Xenoblade into huge franchises too.
Honestly between Nintendo and Playstation constantly making so many great series/franchises I think we're spoiled by how regular they release new games. I never run out of games between PS4/PS5 and Switch. Buy games monthly from these two.

Literally saved myself a bunch just buying what I want for on sale. $10 for Gears, $10 for Gears Tactics for example. $20 vs subbing for 2 years. Play at my leisure and no paying any more than I have to.

FF13 released on Xbox at the height of Xbox popularity and did like 20% sales on Xbox overall. Xbox fans haven't supported any Final Fantasy on Xbox well. There's not been a single RPG that launched together with Playstation where Xbox has even come close in game sales.
