Gaming's a luxury. If you choose to not buy it doesn't mean there aren't other people that want to buy it. There's plenty of people who haven't played this who are coming to Playstation for the first time and getting this experience.

Considering the budget, the amount of time spend making this game and like 2000 people working on it, it's not actually a good result. Settling for these excuses is exactly why they need to make this game is such a mess. Honestly should get the guys who make Doom or Infinity Ward to take over. Different target groups and portability is a huge thing in Japan. It's literally an apples to oranges comparison.

The reason neither Playstation or Nintendo needs to offer their 1st party games on any service because their games sell extremely well. Don't forget the reason Xbox had to move to Gamepass to try to stay relevant being in 3rd place, with entries of Gears, Halo etc dropping to their lowest series sales.
Spiderman, Uncharted, Pokemon, Smash, Mario and flagship titles do so well it would be a huge loss to lose their day 1 sales, can the same be said for Halo, Gears, Forz...
