What's the threshold for profit though? Crisis Core sold 6% on all Xbox systems COMBINED vs 12% Switch and 82% Playstation in the UK which is one of the biggest market for Xbox. Bet you 6% sales doesn't even break even.
Plus if every publisher needs to release on multiplatform then I'm not seeing why games like say Redfall or Starfield are only on Xbox for example. Same with Hellblade 2 when it took 4 years and 4 platforms to sell 1 million copies for Hellbl...

You can play Gran Turismo 7 offline in some capacity though. We're not really sure if Redfall will be unplayable or not without online though.
