Gamepass launched in 2017 June. To this date that's 70 months. Divide 30 million by 70 and that works out to just under 430,000 subscribers a month. So in 6 months by averages that's at most 2.6 million.

Seems pretty lively on console I would say. My point was this type of game succeeds when it's on EVERY system. Hi Fi Rush if released on every console would have probably done well (same for Bayonetta). Being stuck on Xbox where people buy the least games does if no favours. Well Hi Fi Rush was doomed anyways because it's the smallest console base with Xbox and the gamers who have the lowest attach rate for games. Cutting out the install base of 270 million (PS4/PS5/Switch) which ACTUALLY buys games really hurt them.
It didn't hit the top 20 in the launch month or the top 10 the following month either. Highly doubt anyone's who isn't prescribed already decided to sub to buy it either.
