Indie developers weren't even allowed to self publish till recently. They could just release on PC then make a console exclusive port like Outlast, they have a larger market penetration and also don't have to deal with BS from MS. PS4 is a bigger market and it's easier for the developer. That 'free' stuff you suggest locks them out of a bigger market and that doesn't benefit a small studio.
When will they learn? Shouldn't you ask MS how last 3 years 360 had almost no exclusives whereas PS3 destroyed 360 in exclusives? Do you have such short memories that you forgot the last 3 years?!
Playing percentages sounds more impressive, but, units sold would be better. For example is if Xbone sold 10,000 units the week before and this week sold 20,000 units it is nicer to hear we sold 100% more than the previous week then we had a 10,000 unit increase. If PS4 sold 100,000 and increased 75% the following week that's 175,000 units. If you were MS 100% increase sounds more than 75% increase for Sony, but, 175,000 is way more then 20,000. Even with supply strain they are outselling Xbone in every major market consistently so concentrating all their systems in Xbone markets is stupid.
How about pointing out other launches with excessive amounts of exclusives for comparisons sake? I don't remember a lot of launches boasting about their launch exclusives. Singling out PS4 when they have comparitively more games then most launches is stupid, at least wait a year. How about an article about how 360 had next to NO exclusives and alot of major titles pushed onto Xbone whereas PS3 has destroyed competition in last 3 years?

The system and prices are MRSP. So if anything blame the retailers. The increase of $5-10 is just too good to pass up. There is ship that is in BC port under investigation and until the Shipping company is cleared none of its shipments can be unloaded. It so happens to have a large quantity of PS4's.
