Yeah over 3 years later where is this innovation?! How much longer till there is this supposedly killer app? Seriously if they couldn't do it by now it seems awfully doubtful they will any time soon. Unless kinect sports is your idea of innovation.
What in 3 years has been innovative? I haven't seen a single thing that shows it's any thing other than an add on. An expensive one at that. If they haven't been able to innovate after all this time you think they'll be able to do it now? Kinect sports and all the other stuff is NOT innovative in any way.
Good pedigree doesn't make you immune to making bad games. Just look at Insomniac and how bad their EA game Fuse was. You really think that contract prevents Titanfall from showing up on PS4? Just look at Ninja Gaiden on 360 and how to get around exclusively they just released an upgraded Sigma version on PS3. Mass Effect by EA came to PS3 as did games like Bioshock, Star Ocean and more.
Right you make it sound like Xbone version should be preferred? Based on your opinion? Highly doubt the network makes a difference, again just baseless conjecture. The reason it sold Xbone comes down to lack of FPS competition and the massive advertising campaign. Considering advertising it sold rather average. Just look at how many 360's are in the U.S. and it has moved less than 1/2 million copies with over 35 million 360 owners. Also stop pretending you own a PS4 when clearly yo...
As if you own a ps3 or ps4 what's your PSN?
Why are Xbox One sales so bad even though they have more games apparently?
There have been a lot of instances of exclusives coming to Sony systems.
Bioshock
Mass Effect
Ninja Gaiden
Star Ocean
etc.
Even though some were published by MS didn't stop them. Ninja Gaiden was a prime example ( http://www.amazon.com/Nin...
I work at EB games so I actually sell the games. PS3 has had well over 2 dozen 1st and 3rd party games over each of the last 3 years whereas 360 has had 5-6, that is FACT. If you don't believe me just look it up.

This list will give you an idea. It's actually missing a bunch of ps3 titles, but, just search 20...
I'd wager that's not the only reason. Don't forget 2K games is releasing Evolve in the fall on Next Gen systems only. This is the new game by Turtlerock studio's who brought us Left 4 Dead. They simply don't want Borderlands to eat into those sales especially when they are trying to establish a new IP franchise.
Most people won't look twice at Evolve if Borderlands competes with their own product it'll be detrimental. So their strategy is cor...
@Scotmacb
The problem with what your saying is a generation is beginnig to the end. Explain how the last 3 years were? Almost no exclusives 3rd or 1st party on the 360 and the initial Xbone titles were almost all initially 360 games shifted onto Xbone to have launch titles. So yeah the whole this is a marathon thing is exactly what Sony said last time and they continued to release games and have 3rd party exclusives on PS3 whereas Wii/360 are done. If they consider that ...
Something about changing goalpost and it doesn't matter on Xbox One about low frame rates or sub HD, but, things like this on PS3 meant the end of the world?
@3xkrazy
It's low cost and funds future games so why not?
People thought Gran Turismo prologue was stupid, but, it easily funded GT5 because it brought over $200 million in sales.
If they released early you'd complain about it being unfinished/unpolished so delaying the game was a good choice.
The community manager at Crystal Dynamics left february, marketing VP left March, creative director left December for 343 industries and they cut a dozen positions last summer as well. They're a pretty big studio as well, but, I have barely heard anyone mention it.
Really I work EB currently and have for over 6 years and you can't base it off your own experience, but, the buyers as a whole. I sold many replacements and even now I get RROD replacements.
Yeah I guess you forgot the last 3 years of 360 and how it began? Yeah that won't last long.
@Lawboy
Yeah you might think that, but, we don't get many Xbones anywhere near a regular rate. Our company is sitting on stock and there is no need to order any more stock or we order much less overall. We're receiving stock replenishment from our remaining company stock not necessarily new stock.
Also your missing the point which is that the hardware themselves are NOT profitable. Yes we paid MS for those units, but, they either break even or ta...
No company likes dropping prices unless they have large stocks and are desperate to clear space. The longer they sit they actually lose money because of the rented space and taking up space of product that actually sells. A sale at full price without a peripheral, year of live , points or game is a loss. Selling a discounted system is a bigger loss leader in hopes of generating profit. 1.2 million shipped across a quarter when your competition actually sold through 3 million units isn...
@Lawboy
Actually Xbone isn't selling well. My store since March has sold well over 100 PS4's and only 35 or so Xbone. That was during their biggest release Titanfall. We have a dozen sitting in my back room and unsold. The systems we sell do not generate any money for us or Sony it's the peripherals and all the games where we both make money. The Xbone sitting is a loss because the space we pay rent on.
MS doesn't benefit at all from us h...
If MS wanted kinect to succeed they should have launched with these phantom killer apps. 3 years with this tech and the most anyone got were kinect sports, exercise and dance games.
