10 million seems rather low. If the game came out around Christmas it could easily sell 1-2 million copies. 1 million x $60 = $60 million in sales. I don't see how 10 million helps covers loss PS4 sales. Especially since the last one sold 3-4 million on PS3.
My guess is more like $10 million up front, waved publishing fees, guaranteed higher percentage offer on each copy sold and Microsoft paying all the advertising cost. Plus for Microsoft they will get to sell a ni...
I just wished they would make the amiibos more easy to find. If it's part of their long term strategy and so many games will support amiibos then making them as widely available is pretty important. In fact there are two character trophies for each character in Smash. Why don't they make a 2nd series based off that 2nd set? Release the other 6 Villager figures and all 7 koopa kid figures as well. For the collector's that would be another 60+ figures to collect.
Your the one suggesting that we 'have' to apply relativity then going on about (how dare I) telling you how to evaluate?! Then you go on suggesting we have expectations of games and comparing game length as if length, money and how good something is somehow mutually exclusive.

Well just because you don't personally have the time does N...
Well ideals and all you speak of are hypothetical. Buy what you like if you want, hours of game don't increase enjoyment and it is pretty simple to just buy and enjoy what you like. If it isn't in the budget then don't buy.
Like you suggesting applying some relativity, that's just going to depend on each individual and like I said if you suggest hours of enjoyment is a factor versus dollars then maybe it's time for a new hobby.

"In an ideal world, someone would be able to purchase any title that remotely interests them. But in the real world, people need to make purchasing decisions, "
Just going to point out the ridiculous "real world" choice. Sorry if a $60 game is a stretch purchase and is a finance hit then these real world people should be realistic and not have gaming as a hobby. They have their priorities messed up in that case. Gaming is a luxury and not a real issue f...
Witcher and Bloodborne have nothing to do with the Order. Just because a dozen other good games come out this year shouldn't take away from another good experience. Plus what other 3rd person game even plays like The Order any time soon? Bloodborne will be amazing but is a month away and Witcher is out in May.
Seriously why all this negativity for a unreleased game? The hypocrisy and hate pouring in is ridiculous. How come there's no hate articles for Quantum B...
I don't need to apply anything. What is relative to you isn't the same as me. That's like the question of time relative to me except I am in a quick moving train and your walking, it's not the same for either of us. What I value only I can determine and time has nothing to do with it. That's like saying I won't enjoy the movie UNLESS it is at least 2 1/2 hours. Nope each movie and experience can only be judged AFTER I have experienced it. What I deem the appropr...
I watched Imitation game and thought it was an amazing movie and the perfect length, but, I only knew that AFTER experiencing it. Came out of a longer movie like the Hobbit, but, didn't enjoy it as much, sure it was longer and by dollar value more 'worth' it, but, it didn't feel that way.
I had a Kobe steak and it was expensive as hell, it was also the most delicious thing I ever tasted, sure I could have had 3-4 steaks for the same price, but, honestly it w...
5 million sales is over $300 million, why the hell would they sell the studio and an iconic IP for $100 million?! They stand to make more from merchandise and possible return to movies at some point.
Bioshock, Uncharted, TLOU and some of the best experiences of the last Gen and could be beat in under a week so I fail to see your reasoning.
@Mal V3
I agree it should be quality over quantity. If they just add extra missions to pad the game like stupid fetch missions then it's pointless. The length should be based on how the story is told. I would rather short and sweet instead of long and boring.
I wouldn't mind seeing those characters as well. I would like to see Waluigi, Captain Toad and Shy Guy as playable characters.
If my controller dies I pick up my other fully charged controller and continue playing.
This submission has a slight error as it lists Xbox One as a release platform which it isn't being released on and misses listing the PS4 release.

@Spotie
Exactly all my customers spend there Christmas gift cards in January and since more Xbox Ones were sold in December = more January sales.
PSN gave me $10 credit randomly once for being a regular customer. I thought someone was spamming my account except when I clicked the link it brought me right into PSN store for my credit and I got $10 off a purchase.
How did dragonball get on the list, but, not the Jump all stars game?
I did read your wall of text. In fact you said:
"That's how my inferences are made"
Which the point was your inferring something without actually playing the actual game. You then 'classify' how your experience and categorize it with Heavy Rain/ Beyond except again how can you categorize something you have NEVER played?!
You then say you don't have preconceived notions of the game?! Here I will quote you again:

@Saijahn
You say to be 'objective', but, already have predisposed view and already have such a negative view of a game you haven't even played and are siding with reviewers instead of doing your own review though. So maybe you should relearn the definition of objective.
Where anywhere did I sing 'praises' upon The Order?! I am not attacking anyone, your logic and attitude are so full of BS though. Your out here attacking people of opposite vie...
@Marlinfan
It's not just the money that is important. It's also important to keep your fan base happy. The majority of the sales for this series has been on PlayStation and releasing the games later cost Square not only profit it also ensures later games in the series will do lower sales. Shrinking your market and fan base is not a smart move either way.
Just look at Bioshock and Mass Effect for example. They generally have similar sales to Tomb R...
