It's a pretty massive lead. Xbone would literally have to outsell PS4 by 1 million units globally a month to equal PS4 till the end of the year. I sure don't see that happening.
Honestly I think if Sony announces they're bringing over the MGS V PS4 bundles It would help a lot.
I find it funny so many people talk about stacks of games in Game stop/EB (Douglord and Kribwalker) as if it means anything bad. I work at a EB Games and have for quite awhile.
You know which games have the biggest stacks? The games that sell the MOST. For example I have in my store 3-4 dozen of Titanfall, BF4, COD AW, Destiny and these games all sold 5 million+. If I see those huge stacks sales are generally with few exceptions extremely good for that game.

D4 sold terribly and apparently the following chapters aren't being made as a result and Quantum Break isn't out yet so till we see sales it's a reach to say it will sell.
Sunset Overdrive apparently only sold 230,000 it's first week globally and with 4 days of sales whereas The Order only had 1 day sales and more than doubled its sales. Considering to date Sunset has sold under 800,000 units with Christmas sales too The Order is doing well.
Your comparing 6 day sales weeks for other new IP's to 2 days of sales? What does your sales analysis tell you when Sony's new IP beat Sunset Overdrives sales for all of Christmas and world wide in only 2 days? So much for your spin.
'Good' is subjective and unlike you we had Guilty Gear Xrd, The Order and in the next 3 weeks we have 3 back to back exclusives with Bloodborne, Toukidan Kiwami and MLB 15 while you get an old port of a zombie indie and have had Scream Ride to tide you over for 4 months without a new exclusive. We actual have lots of games to play so you should worry about why you system has nothing new for you to play. I assume your PS4 is imaginary.

While we're playing new games like Guilty Gear Xrd, The Order, Bloodborne, Toukidan Kiwami and MLB we'll make sure to play your portion as well. If you get a PS4 we can shareplay to fill your game void.

Since December we have had Guilty Gear Xrd, The Order 1886, followed by Bloodborne, Toukidan Kiwami and MLB 15. So if that's a drought I think we'll be okay.
We're playing new games every month so there's no need to justify our purchase. Xbone though going a whole quarter without a major release.
There are plenty of great games that are ignored. Whether the game is great or not is subjective so just because you don't find it fun doesn't mean it's not good or not a market for it. For example Gears Of War was a high rated exclusive I just couldn't get into, I much preferred Alan Wake. But some people found Alan Wake wasn't for them.

It's even better when we hear how Ori being published by MS somehow makes it not an Indie game. Remember to only count Indies when on Xbone. Great experiences like Transistor, Hellraid etc. on PS4 don't count. Xbone has selected few Indies due to 'quality'.

What's your point? The Forza Horizon 2 combined install is what 95 million between 2 platforms (360 and Xbone) and sold less than 1/3 of GT6 and 1/10 of GT5. Same with Forza 5.
What?! I work at EB Games and have done our marketing for over 5 years. We change our marketing for games every month. New month is new marketing. It's current focus is BF Hardline and Mortal Kombat this sunday. Sony reps update the sections themselves and the last update in February top section caps featuring Bloodborne.
