In Canada they are definitely taking a loss. The price here dropped to match the American price. So the kinectless unit is $350 Canadian, that's $278 American and the kinect bundle is $450 Canadian, that's $358 American. Even with this price it is still being outsold by PS4 by a large margin.
You mean how Xbone sold 1 million in 13 countries whereas PS4 sold 1 million in just 2 countries?! Yeah clearly PS4 destroyed its competion and still is. When is the last time we heard Xbone numbers?
Doing so well we have no announcement of numbers and as soon as price increased they fell behind. Now we have a permanent price change and that's due to 'value'
Funny that they have so many games to play yet here they are begging for a PC port. Where most of them will pirate and hack the game to ruin it for everyone else.
Phantom Dust is a Microsoft game being made for MS by another studio. Microsoft doesn't own Remedy studio's yet they are making Quantum Break. Ratchet and Clank is a Sony IP which was made by Insomniacs, Sony still owns the IP at the end of the day.
Tomb Raider is still owned by Square Enix. Microsoft also published Gears Of War by Epic and only bought the IP last year. Sony actually owns the IP so it's not the same at all.

Get your facts straight it is a Sony IP and a 3rd party developer was hired to do the work with Sony's Japan Studio. They didn't buy the rights they made the game and own the rights to the IP.

The PS4 has The Order 1886, Bloodborne, MLB, Ratchet and Clank, Tearaway and Until Dawn. It also has more variety and lots of 3rd party exclusives to also fill any gaps.

They got to move goalposts though. Somehow 2 months is more important than the other 10. News flash PS4 sells more software and most sales are from 3rd party games not first party games. Remember the delay of Driveclub which were going to hurt sales?! TLOU was also delayed and went on to be GOTY.
Yet they continue to destroy Xbone sales for 10 months out of the year and lead by 9 million units. By fall that could easily be 12-15 million more units.
Also the top selling games are all 3rd party where PS4 versions destroy Xbone versions. PS4 also sells significantly more software. So why would Sony be worried?!
It's even worse for me. I work at EB Games and the game showed up today and I just couldn't help looking at the beautiful collector's edition. It's going to be staring me in the face all weekend while I work. :(
They can already port quite readily from PC to PS4 with existing API's so the combined market of PS4 and PC is still more than the Xbone/ PC. If it's going to require a lot more work doing things separately then why would any company not only make it harder and increase cost?
Exactly! Just because you cover your eyes and pretend the stack of games sitting in front of you doesn't exist doesn't mean they aren't actually there in front of you. Just because I don't like 1st person shooters that much doesn't mean I can pretend COD, Evolve, BF Hardline and Borderlands Handsome collection are NOT games.

Working retail doesn't equal working retail for video games, retailers market what they need to move or sell. Our retail is paid advertising by our publishing partners.
