The irony is they have been defending the weaker Xbone, but, now power matters again. Downplay the increase in power for Pro, but, praise the Scorpio with no specs except for 6 Tflops.
Honestly since Sony is in the lead why would anyone think they need to react to Scorpio a year away? Having the year advantage and at the price they have at a reasonable low $399 they will have more of a market before Xbox even sells their 1st unit. By the time Scorpio arrives they drop their price and have a big price advantage with a large library too.
You know the irony is people in other threads have pointed out 12 Tflop video cards on PC rigs can't run native 4K, but, a 6 Tflop Scorpio will. Just think about that for a second. Starts to sound a lot like secret sauce again. Like I don't know DX12, Cloud Power, kinect awesome sauce.
The only reason Xbox won the last 2 months is high trade promotions and heavy discounts on their systems. Just check Amazon and look at the top 100. 3 different PS4 bundles in the top 50 and the Pro at number 1 or 2 . That's 4 sku's in the top 100. PS4 $50 price drop is flying up the charts overnight.
Yeah yeah..... can't wait for the season to start. At least we got World Cup Hockey to tide us over till then and give us a taste of the new season.
On the topic of crossgame play. Sony has no problem it seems with it. Just look at FF XIV cross platform play with PC, how come Square is having such trouble with MS and releasing it on Xbone?
Not sure, but, I imagine if the direct link works well for fighters which literally is about frame advantages, I am pretty sure it would be okay for twitch shooters considering frame advantage is important in shooters but less so since they tend to be more loose.

If the direct link prevents input lag then yes. Especially since it is the only place to play King of Fighters 14 and Guilty Gear Revelator and pretty much every other fight exclusive.
Still more games on PS4 though. Games are still the main reason to get PS4, ones you can't play anywhere else. All the features aside don't change that fact.
I have my doubts Scorpio will be able to keep the price down with what they want to do. Plus we remember how hard PS3 was to sell at $600. Also look at the sales of Xbox One when they were $100 more. Exactly! The price in itself is a winning point even before pointing out the GPU increases. All the other camp seems to think that Scorpio has it in the bag, but, it's doubtful the power will matter if the price is high. By the time Scorpio comes out the Pro will be even cheaper and price is going to beat out power any day.

PS4 have 3 units including the Slim in the top 50 (COD #25, Uncharted 4 #42 and Uncharted 4 Slim #41 bundles). Whereas only 1 Xbox unit in the top 50 and it's already losing to the Blackops 3 PS4 bundle and the PS4 Slim is climbing up just behind that Xbox S unit.

Honestly most of the sales are clearing out old stock. All the EB's have been told that we need to be aggressive in getting rid of stock. Even being told it's more important to sell our old stock than our used systems even. The S sales have been very good in our stores though most of our sales are clearing out our excessive stock of old Xbox One units though.

I think they meant the total of the 3 systems. PS4 is 14.2 million and XB1 + WiiU is 18 million total. That's about 40 % of the market currently. If Wii U sales drop off because of NX it actually would potentially climb to 50% of the market by 2018. It seems possible.

If they rushed out games that clearly weren't ready everyone would be suggesting they should have delayed their game anyway. So what is more responsible delaying a game to better it or rush it out and making your fanbase lose faith and with bad press lose future sales as well? Also potentially souring your fanbase to boot?

Your comment only proves my point though. At 2% adoption and ZERO sales of Scorpio it's even worse. If Scorpio sold 1 million out the gate that translate into only 20,000 people on Xbox with VR. 2% of 75 million is almost 1.9 million.
If you make games and do cost versus benefit analysis, would 20,000 or 1...
