definitely agree ISay. i know profits are the name of the game, but that's ridiculous. unfortunately it won't happen because for every halo, there's a kane and lynch which costs a good amount and doesn't do jack in sales. halo is the exception. hell, even if you wanted to buy halo2 it still costs 39.99 up here in canada.
i own about 30 games right now, and have owned or played over 40 not including arcade games, and 13 or 14 of them are shooters depending on your definition. so it's not 2/3rds for me. only 1/3rd.

i'll buy one as well. i don't notice the fan noise, but i don't have the desire to have the add-on HD-DVD. if it's built in then i'll buy it along with the bourne trilogy first day, but only if it's $499 or under. if they try to go more then that they can screw themselves.

seems to me like they left out some multi games. apparently, you have to own COD4 and rock band if you have a 360, but not if you have a ps3. maybe they just assume people already bought them on the 360.
i'm from calgary, about 3 hours south, and have been to that store and have even saw the manager selling a copy of the game to a guy for $500 bucks about a week and a half ago. that store is the biggest rip-off you could imagine. 89.99 for a wireless controller for either system. ds games for 59.99, 360 and ps3 games for 89.99 for the regular copies. i never understood how they stayed in business. people should just freaking relax and wait for the actual release from somewhat reputable s...
i must admit, i'm suprised to see Crackdown on so many of these lists. i loved the game and played the hell out of it, but i didn't think it would beat out some of the titles that it has been ranked over by some of these sites. i think most people were persuaded to buy it due to the halo3 beta, but ended up getting a great game.
i still think bioshock was the best, but i'm sure COD4 was #1 on this list.
it'll be great, i'm sure. but my number 1 must have for the ps3 next year is littlebigplanet, absolutely no doubt about it. mgs4 will continue a series, lbp will start something completely new in the industry i believe. i just hope i don't have to wait until very late '08 for it.

both consoles have great lineups for the upcoming year, and both will grow. the idea that ANY of the consoles are going to put noticable distance between themselves and their competitors next year is wishful thinking.
not sure if i believe him. although i have no problem with that as games that are ps3-lead development games have been on par in terms of their 360 counterparts, i'm not sure why a developer would go to the ps3 as lead platform with some of the recent sales data especially in terms of software sales.
but hey, jack tretton has no reason to lie about this, right?? :P
i'm more then happy with the $60 i spent on it. i can promise that i'll be playing this game at least once every few months for many years to come. more then curious to see what they are going to do for 2.
agreed with you there. mass effect i could see at some point probably going multi-plat, but i don't see any way that MS lets gears get away at any point.
i know i'm in the minority, but i really couldn't care less about FF anymore. honestly i have no idea what the game is about or what the structure will be like. personally, it just doesn't hold any type of interest for me. maybe with more information in the future it will. give me LBP though please. that's the game that will change things, i think.
halo3 and gears had fantastic multiplayers. c'mon danja you knew that response will be coming.
i don't see what kind of DLC they can have for uncharted. the levels are far too detailed and laid out to just add some stuff in, and it's probably too much to ask for a full new level. i would enjoy some new guns or something though. ah well.
