I sort of agree. After watching the Halo Reach beta that my friend was playing, I was turned off by the game. It's just too similar to the previous 3 (4) that came before it, and I have very little desire to buy a game that I'm only going to play for a few days.
I know that a lot of Halo purists claim that the game is too different from Halo 2/3, but I just don't see it. Jetpacks and sprinting aren't that radical of changes. Even if Halo Reach were to get ...
I came for the boobs.
Was disappointed.
It's all about the $ here. Tekken is more widely known than King of Fighters.
Soul Calibur thrown into the mix wouldn't surprise me though.
@mikeslemonade
Consider how much money they've made from the DS and Wii. It's conceivable that they are taking a gamble with this new system and not holding back on it's capabilities.
Imagine if you could put digital DVDs on this, and you could watch 3D Avatar on the 3DS. It's honestly not that hard to believe.
Well I really enjoyed what I have played of Just Cause, seeing that Xenoblade is superior in their eyes is a good sign.
Little overboard to call the DS games "crappy" IMO, but I will say that I enjoyed 3D Dot a LOT more than I expected to. I finished it much faster than any game I've bought recently. For instance, I bought Red Dead about a week ago and I've only played it twice. Just been so busy, and not had the urge to boot it up.
To anyone on the fence about 3D Dot, I highly recommend it. It's just a lot of fun for anyone who has a soft spot for the old days. I wo...
IMO Scamco is worse. I mean, look at the downloads for Tales of Vesperia on XBLA. They actually have packs that just give you 5 or 10 levels. Don't forget them charging $5 for Darth Vader/Yoda for Soul Calibur IV.
Ridiculous.
Pretty sure I have one of these laying around. Not that it saw much use.
Yeah seriously.
Just wait until E3 people. It's not that far off.
Beat me to it.
"brutal legend rip off guitar hero's gameply"
Did you not even try and look up what Brutal Legend's gameplay was? Did you not even bother doing a simple google check?
Last I heard, Guitar Hero III did not involve playing in an action-adventure environment similar to Zelda. Last I heard, Guitar Hero III did not have an actual plot that the entire game was based around. And finally, Guitar Hero III did not have RTS elements including comman...
Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow were both superior to Circle, if you ask me. Circle was had too many problems to like it that much, such as the rather odd movement controls (double tap d-pad to run) and the jittery jumping.
I would say that Mass Effect 2 is the best of the year, or Mario Galaxy 2 personally.
God of War 3 and 3D Dot Game Heroes were both really, really good too though.
Let's just wait until E3. It's not that far off anyway.
Art Collection: Ico + Shadow of the Colossus + Okami
Metal Gear Collection: MGS + MGS2 + MGS3 (Though this has been done, sadly)
Jak Collection: Jak & Daxter + Jak 2 + Jak 3 (If they announce Jak 4 this is a given...)
Wouldn't mind seeing a Ratchet collection but the games are fairly similar so I may as well boot up Tools or Crack.
Well said. There are only a few games I would rank on par with Mario Galaxy 2 this generation (Such as Mass Effect 2). I can't wait to hit 70 stars tonight and beat Bowser.
Seems like the main problem you have with Mario Galaxy 2 is the graphics.
And if that is the case, consider yourself a fail gamer. Graphics should always be one of the lowest considerations for any true gamer, after all, Persona 4 was one of the best games of 2008 and it was on the PS2. It's infinitely better than garbage like FFXIII.
Uncharted 2 yes.
Metal Gear Solid 4, no.
I would rank the series 3 > 1 > 2 = 4 (2 has a slight edge though).
I never thought I would hear nanomachines so much in one game. That and pointless character deaths. (To avoid spoilers, the character starting with the letter N had no reason to die just yet. Seems like it was done for shock value. I mean, did Otacon really need even MORE grief? You know, after taking his first love in MGS1, an...
Sometimes I think this too, but playing games like Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2, and Mario Galaxy 2 give me hope that the industry can be creative.
Then you look at indie games like World of Goo or Castle Crashers, and you can see that in every corner of gaming's sub-genres you can find something wildly fun.
@El Botto
Honestly, Goldeneye as a movie was extremely mediocre. It's surprising that the game was better than the movie, and I really can't see how anyone can argue against that fact.

So far as a remake is concerned, I don't like it. Activision making it instead of Rare is almost destined to be an epic fail. Anyone remember Rogue Agent? Sure that was EA, but at the time they were almost as notorious as Activision is now....
