Dude when they released the AMD 64 they were kings EVERY single gamer and tech expert told you to get it over ANY Intel offering, AMD 64 was synonym of excellent performance in PC gaming and the AMD 64 FX were the expensive dreams of PC gamers...but Intel brought the Core Duo and AMDs kingdom (lol) fell
why do you think it was a brutal shock for EVERY ONE in the PC world to find out that AMD that was SO high in the pedestal fell to Intel and yes I remember the days when people ...
They are pretty much force to catch up lately and believe me if they are the ones that put themselves in that position just look at the history of this stuff
NVIDIA releases the 8800GTX, ATI tries to match it with the HD 2900XT...but fails, ATI plans the next card to beat the GTX, NVIDIA brings the 8800GT and ATI is forced to catch up with the HD 3800 but performance test point out that again they fail, and NVIDIA 1 step ahead is coming with the new 8800GTS that are very cheap ...
And AMD/ATI continues to lag behind Intel and NVIDIA, I think someone should tell AMD that playing catch up with Intel and NVIDIA is not really bringing any results cuz when AMD is trying to catch up with Intels or NVIDIAs last step both of them are 2 steps ahead of AMD already
and to think AMD and ATI were once kings >.>
Have you tried ordering from Amazon? many of my friends of South America order from it since you pay the US price of the game and the only high price you have to pay is the shipping based primarily on the weight for example last time 8 games (regular DVD cases) came up for 55 bucks for ensured shipping with tracking numbered delivered in 7 days
I am gonna be poor probably till next year T.T
I just bought
COD4 (super cool so far but VERY short missions)
Clive Barkers Jericho (arcade kind of feel, but AI hurst the game)
TimeShift (I LOVE this game <3)
and tomorrow I am buying
Halo 3 (Better late than never)
Halo 2 Vista (You cant stop me from getting the gamer points!)
Crysis (I upgraded for this :D)
The Darkness (I wanted to get this for a while now)
...
Well that is the HUGE gamble Nintendo took at aiming the Wii at the casual gamer market
Hardware is sold like crack thanks to casual games...but as every one knows casual gamers don't buy a lot of games
which results in the Wii Sports/Play effect in the sale charts
I actually prefer the BFG10K :P
But the BFG 9000 will always be the classic one :)
I a INCREDIBLY surprised that TimeShift ended up being such a good game, but as a fair warning the game starts EXTREMELY generic aka you fighting against generic soldier dudes with generic guns...BUT after that EVERYTHING gets better and better to the point you cant believe that a game that gave such a bad first impression turned to be so good XD
Recommended for all you FPS fans out there :)
This one has the chance to stop NVIDIA from cannibalizing all its own sales with the 8800GT
And if ended it has all 128 stream processors enables it could potentially beat both the GT and GTX
and its F-CKING cheap XD
And like many other gory and violent games in Japan it is gonna be edited to tone down the gore just look at RE4 and the upcoming No More Heroes
Well here is my view in the whole situation you present, if it was probably ANY other company (including Interplay that had the rights) they would had made it primarily for the PC to get all the fans of the other Fallouts and then have console version for the newcomers and keep the original formula BUT with our pals at Bethesda things are MUCH different with the success of Oblivion their primary target is the consoles and primarily the 360 and as always they will chop the hell out of the orig...
And Bethesda didit again yet another franchise that they submit to their consolification process and chop chop away with the original formula
And there went all my hope of a sequel worthy of the name, but seriously with Bethesda history with franchises I couldn't really expect that much >.>
Talking about 360s and RROD my new 360 has arrived :D took exactly 31 days but its finally back XD
Now I need to buy new games >.>
To be honest I think the RROD might be completely eliminated in both 45nm CPU and GPU and a further improved cooling system
Actually there is a VERY heavy difference between obvious review bias in which the review is affected by the general predisposition to that type of game by the reviewer which does not occur that often but is very evident to see
and them we have that the game or simply didn't lived to the hype or was not for every one as CLEARLY demonstrated by Assassins Creed a game in which the majority of reviewers gave 7 and 8s compared to the 9 and 10s and unless that majority of reviewers ...
@MK_Red: maybe they are expressing their opinion? since that is what a review is...an opinion
EVERYONE is using that song recently and the fact that GameSpot has an unhealthy obsession playing that song EVERY SINGLE time they demo Rock Band is NOT helping
Its brutal to see that even with the most powerful GPU and CPU running the game on the highest res and max option the fps are MURDERED
Looks like Crysis was build to take advantage of CPUs and GPU that have not even been released >.>
Its interesting to see how GS strongly recommended to lower the shadows to medium to compensate for other higher setting
Fahrenheit was one of the few games I went thru all the troubles to get the PAL version cuz it was the uncensored original version
and it was worth ALL the way :)
the other game is gonna be The Witcher :D
HOT :D
and Becky Young is F-ING hot, in her vids she is always ultra flirtatious, in Comicon she dressed up as Emma Frost and was blatantly flirting with every one XD
I don't think it either but I think they (AMD) must be a LOT more aggressive and even MORE visionary to beat Intel and NVIDIA but they are going in a VERY dangerously slow path and AMD and NVIDIA seem to be on crack
AMD needs to step up and realize that Intel and NVIDIA are changing the playing rules and AMD needs to adjust and be even more ambitious and not only play the cheap card forever
