SWEET :D i've been playing NG Sigma for more than a week now and I am loving it :D (despite the game apparently not loving me XD) and I am looking forward to NG2! SO much :)
You are not very familiar with how the disc space is used on 360 games are you?
@sidar: And the situation is still there...res matters (you said it didn't so don't change the subject), what is the point if the engine can render realistic fabric textures and the dev saying it came be the same as the PS3/360 visuals if the res will stop you from ever looking the same or you even seeing the details they advertise in the first place?
and the Crysis example is a prime example of that (engine can do it you simply cant see it)
720 x 480 = 345 600 p...
Remember now that you have a 360 you should be worried about ventilation and cooling if you wan to avoid or at least delay the RROD, keep it in a well ventilated place and try to get an external fan to ventilate the 360 AFTER its been turned off since it is then were the hot air is trapped that causes the RROD
And by your comments it looks like you are becoming a Achievements whore like me XD...one little taste of them and I got hooked
@sidar: If you ignore resolution in the whole equation you are simply don't understand how this works or you are simply doing damage control or are in fan defence mode (and yes we already know VASTLY that you LOVE the Wii)
you are goanna tell me I am gonna appreciate Crysis (visuals) the same in 640 X 420 VS 1650 x 1050?
...seriously?
what is the point of the engine being able to achieve something if yo wont be able to fully appreciate cuz of the r...
GAMETRADERS ROBINA!!!
XD
Interesting to read regarding the mods that Tanya Jessen straight up says no and when questioned about Marks comments she turns to the usual PR spin of the "maybe" plus some sort of excuse that can swing either way
with this it REALLY makes me wonder if the mods are EVER gonna come if ANY form -_-
mmm...Capcom already said a LONG time ago that that int happening since they no longer have the Marvel rights (I even think its on article here on N4G)
which I assume is Capcom not wanting to buy new rights which are probably a LOT more expensive that they were when they made both MVC
now when you read somewhere Capcom bought the Marvel rights again then you can ask until that its pointless
For me gameplayer.com.au died when they started posting BRUTALLY inaccurate (bordering in made up facts or direct contradictions to dev statements) "previews" of certain games (Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 come to mind), apart from that I think its pretty obvious the very sensationalist way they have been handling certain topics (for example the flamebait title of their Ninja Gainden 2 preview)
Sadly looks like Okami on the Wii will continue the trend of the original by selling poorly despite receiving excellent reviews...hopefully there is a magical surge in sales later on :)
I guess someone should have punched Capcom in the face when they said they will do the same level of advertising as the PS2 one -_-
I've be playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma for a week now (yes that equals 7 days of brutal masochism XD) and I am sure as hell be picking up Ninja Gainde II...to continue with the masochism...now with 100% more blood and gore! XD
.... O.o
Remember to patch it and get some mods cuz some like the repair one are almost obligatory :D
Don't be tempted by the mods that offer "improved armor" and stuff cuz they literally ruin the game and in some cases could ruin your saved game
For que quality graphics it output the engine is pretty forgiving
here are they are:
Recommended: Windows XP, Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 / AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 1 GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 7900 / ATI Radeon X1950 / 256 MB DirectX 9c compatible graphics card
Minimum: Windows 2000 (SP 4), Intel Pentium IV 2 GHz / AMD Athlon XP 2200+, 512 MB RAM, 10 GB hard disk space, nVidia GeForce 5700 / ATI Radeon 9600 / 128 MB DirectX 9c compatible graphics card, Dir...
I dare to say STALKER actually had better lighting effects than Crysis, the effect of using the flashlight in heavy particle scenarios were unmatched and ULTRA realistic
SWEET :D Loved the first one :)
Eating hearts FTW!
When it comes to the 360 its better be SUPER cheap since the game is VERY short and if you think "to further expand the original title's story" you are in for a surprise...probably not a very pleasant one -_-
While its good they are doing the best they can bringing the mods this hardly sound like any confirmation beyond the usual "we are gonna try"
and this rises even more question...if the point of mods is having a massive amount of constantly growing user generated content of every kind...if you start separating it, choosing "some" as Mark said then they are no longer what we know as "MODs" but simple "add-ons" we have already seen in multip...
@green: version of the game =/= sequel of the game
I can even quote you if you don't remember what you wrote
"Great news. The 1st and the still the best"
hardly anything to do with what Fishy Fingers posted, unless Fishy Fingers in confusing Version (Arcade/Console) with Sequel (1,2,3)
btw that one its not even the first one its technically the second one :)
@Fishy Fingers: running Crysis on high is actually pretty easy with a good PC gaming rig (around $1000-$1200), the problem that people have (horribly generalized to the whole game) is when you try to run the game on VERY High or DX10 THEN is where the game starts choking or when you are in an insane res (2048x1536)
even on Vista you can force DX9 and gain a very good performance boost and the patches have done wonders to improve the fps
do you realize you cant output the same level of detail even if upscaled if the original source simply doesn't have it?
upscaling DVDs raises the res (makes the image sharper) but it wont create detail that was not visible in the original 480p res, upscaled DVD will be sharper but NEVER have the same level of detail of a 1080p source...its simply NOT possible
so saying upscaled the look the same or there is little difference is ridiculous if you understand how i...
