Just thinking of Cloverfield again gave me the chills XD
I would actually say the majority of what contributed to the not so super sales were the hardware requirements, Crytek can pretend and point the usual fingers at "piracy" all they want since that is the usual scapegoat when you don't do well on the PC gaming world...but like a brick to the face is the example of Stardock with their Sins of a Solar Empire a game that has absolutely NO copy protection of ANY form and yet compared to Crysis Sins has actually stayed firmly in the top 5 ...
When I think Ninja Gaiden 2 I don't think "is the game gonna be good?"...I actually think stuff like
.."I wonder what difficulty should I start in?" (thanks to this article its gonna be even harder to figure that one out)
.."Gezz I wonder how difficult are the achievements and how many play thrus do I need to get that majority?"

Its been confirmed over 100 times even by 2K themselves that MS ONLY bought a period of exclusivity or what we know as "timed exclusive", remember the interview where when asked about a PS3 port 2K responded that there wouldn't be a port while the MS deal was still effective (remember also that is no confirmation that are going to make the port but its one to confirm that they can in the future)

Ill be picking up the 360 version mainly cuz of the achievements (I cant help it am a Achievement whore XD) and secondly for the fact that the majority of friends have Live or would be playing it there
How my shopping goes I would probably be playing GTA4 by June along with Ninja Gaiden 2 and MGS4 (why? cuz I buy game in bulk and hopefully by that time Dark Sector and Condemned 2 would be cheaper too...and I would have completely paid the PS3 by then too XD)

I don't think Better lightning would have helped considering it already had very good lighting (maybe too much according to some people) pretty much every graphical complain in Halo 3 can be directly pointed at the overall low res the game run in and the lack of AA cuz Halo 3 from very close looked pretty good cuz of the good use of High res textures (even if there are a lot of low res ones too) but the further the view the more brutally pixelated everything became and pretty much all detail ...
While there can be a MASSIVE list of things here are my top ones
-MORE and even MORE mythological creatures there is a HUGE amount of potential AMAZING creatures to fight against and mind blowing boss battles to be fought
-More weapons and more bizarre in design I think the devs should be looking a little bit more to the work of Capcom with DMC when it comes to weapon variety and creativity
-Better upgrade system, upgrading weapons shouldn't only u...
Actually not so much Deus Ex but if you have played System Shock 2 you might have noticed that is more of a dumbed down remake of the game...and they didn't even tried to hide it the roles of the cast are very similar (some being identical) some characters even had the same voice actor they did on SS2 the story is very similar it even has the same plot twists...they only cut out the deep gameplay mechanics and the setting and changed a few name here and there

In mi experience NGB was the one the hardest to find in "good" condition at a good price, even used ones retail for around $60-$80 and on Ebay the auction starts at 15-19 bucks and by the time it ends its some where back in the $60s or $80s -_-
I also find the Digital version to be hard on the HDD, being a little bit more than 6GBs on your average 20GB is not very nice specially if you have a lot of DLC or demos :(

@I Call 9MM: while what you said sounds nice and all but the majority regarding the hardware is sadly unrealistic (and even outdated in some parts)..not saying ist bad to think that way since its “logical” but its simply not looking at the whole picture in the actual world and how it works

1. You know what is base chipset hardware right? you know a LOT of hardware HAS to be done this way or the production cost will be excessiv...
as far as we know the PS3 version will include all the downloadable content for the 360 plus some graphical improvements but no much else has been revealed or what the actual improvements are -_-

Please don't mention what happened to Westwood...cuz tears star coming out T.T
one thing to consider is that the game looks goofy and at first it might feel awkward (I felt that way just by looking at the cover or the intro) but after a while the awkward goofiness changed to charm (and the gameplay became addictive)
the important thing to remember is that the game doest take itself very seriously and its filled with humorous references (mostly VERY black humor) and that if you are into RPG/RTS/Adventure you will like it...it is also openworld for some peo...
If you are a PS3 owner and had doubt about this game i've been playing it for a while now (360 version) and I highly recommend it its BRUTALLY fun! :D

@MK_Red: I think you have to look at each dev to determine the "ballsy" and not the console maker, for example you mention HS watered down by Sony and yet in the interview with Ninja Theory they stated they specially went for a Teen rating to have a bigger audience and since they are 3rd party hardly anything to do with Sony, in the case of Uncharted not a single game in the history of Naughty Dog has been M, I would actually think Sony could push them to make it M but hardly to sto...
