I remember Uncharted 3 starting slow and ending fast. Weird pacing
I’m more concerned with the apparent religious themes the story is reportedly going for. With Druckmann at the helm you know what that could mean.
I think to suggest that there’s a sizeable demographic complaining about ‘the hair’ is overthinking things. There’s less to this than meets the eye
Not digging the super colourful futuristic stuff
Everyone ignored those crappy games because they were crappy.
Will intergalactic be crappy too? Who knows, but gameplay quality is unrelated to what the character looks like, and if the game is good, it will likely sell big regardless of who is farming online engagement by screeching about wokeness
So you’ve changed your mind about playing future CDPR games ;)
This will continue until/unless class war replaces culture war
It’s the sequel that needs a re-release
Triggering the libs by playing AI slop
These guys should make FF17 - they know what makes a good FF game. Put those efforts into a single self-contained new game
Rebirth has baggage of its own - it is a remake/reimagining of a portion of a game that came out decades ago. And it also has some questionable design choices (that final multiphase battle as an example, plus all the padding).
Not that any of this actually matters but if SotE were to win it could be a funny kick up the ass of other developers to make better games
which mechanics are still nerfed?
?
2 is easily better than 1, and looks better, unsurprisingly. If 1 had a higher budget it would have been due to building their tech from scratch
That’s good news. Plenty of good gaming franchises have turned to asscheeks after losing key dev talent, but a new GTA single player remains something to look forward to as long as it’s living up to the standard set by prior games
Yeah it’s been a year of pleasant surprises in gaming. Far more good releases than I have time for
Word of mouth is the better indicator - regardless of what number is at the end of a professional review, a consensus inevitably emerges about whether a game is worthwhile. Consensus has yet to lead me astray, including when it convinced me to try Alien Isolation several years ago. I'd stopped paying attention to IGN long before their Isolation review.
I just wanted to play as a pirate. I didn’t want to be periodically reminded that I’m actually just playing as somebody who is playing as a pirate
As long as it can be ignored then I'd consider that an improvement
Huffing a lot of hopium that they could remove the modern day office sections and leave us with a pure pirate game
There’s a good PC port
