WTF? I watched that episode and he was talking about ACTUAL rain. Women in Pink, dead on the floor, had been in the rain recently as he felt under her collar to deduce. The line had no reference to Heavy Rain the game whatsoever.
As good as Heavy Rain is and deserves a mention on mainstream TV, the article literally made something game releated out of nothing. Are they gonna link to weather reports every time is p!sses down now?

I love the old X-com games, devoted many hours to terror from the deep and apocalypse. It's a shame they aren't continuing the turn based stratedy that made those games awesome to me. Don't think I'll be buying the new X-com unless its something REALLY special just out of respect for the old classics.

Gotta say I've bought a lot more games for my PS3 than my 360 so far this year, it's normally roughly the same. Kinect doesn't appeal to me but I might get Move so the second half could be PS3 dominated too, gonna have to buy some 2nd hand 360 games that I may have missed to keep it even ;P

Actually the active shutter lens technology is superior to the passive polarised versions used in cinemas, giving a much clearer, brighter image with less ghosting and blur.

I don't see how you can feel cheated, Sony was upfront about the content you'd receive and you decided to buy even though you already had them :-/ give it a few months and maybe you'll get something you want to justify your purchase but don't make out like Sony somehow tricked u into buying something you already own.
Oh and in the UK we got LBP and Wipeout for free... Score :)

Like you, I'm very happy with my PS+ purchase so far and I'm also in the UK. I'm going to give Sony a few months to impress me further. IMHO they need to offer something that regular PSN users can't get like, as you mentioned, Home content or exclusive beta access. That would give people a bigger reason to join other than the great discounts.
I know a good few people that would cough up the £40 right now if they announced a PS+ exclusive Starhawk beta ...

I hate that saying because it implies that I can't like the game without loving it or disklike the game without hating it. I liked Mirrors Edge but in my view there are just a lot of better games this gen.
My top 10 would look something like this bearing in mind this gen is far from over:

God of War 3, Mass Effect, Uncharted 2, Demons Souls, Gears Of War, MGS4, ...

@Blaze The concept of controller free gaming using a camera device was NOT concieved by Microsoft. The Eyetoy is proof of this but I'm unsure if Sony even came up with this concept themselve either.
As for voice recognition, thats been done before too obviously. My point stands, Microsoft didn't create a new concept, they applied an old one to their own product.
