"Clearly an opinion", yet people digest it differently... I'm aware it's an opinion but the mind doesn't come across that and think "Oh, it's just someone's opinion," they instead think "What? Mass Effect isn't good?!"

Here's my problem with this. It's not that there's an opinion that's salty and critical. It's the title. It tries to convey opinion as fact. What it should say is:
"In my opinion the first few hours of Mass Effect Andromeda...aren't that good."
or
"The first few hours of Mass Effect Andromeda...aren't that good. / Opinion."
Or whatever. But you get the point. Titles like...

This seems more of a combination of design style/graphics, rather than a sheer graphical change.
Is it a downgrade? Yes, but it's more so a change so it's not that bad in retrospect.
Do I prefer the originals? Yes.
Will this stop me from enjoying the game? No. Though the dead eyes might do me in.

Has anyone bothered to click on the link? The title is misleading. Pre-order content, is different from Dlc after launch. They aren't the same thing. Nor is the information in anyway, shape or form, new.
Technically speaking, if a reviewer gives their score and explains how they reached it (and they aren't just complaining or showing signs of ineptitude) then I think, as long as the game is working, a score from 6-10 shouldn't receive an outcry. Outbursts happen far to quickly now when there's a score that doesn't follow the trend.

I came across a planet, filled with wildlife. I mean 20+ wherever I went. First time that happened for me, and the world is covered in beautiful grass with the occasional big tree. Ocean's everywhere.
Safe to say, I plan to find an outpost to make it my vacation home when the toxic planets sadden me.
If they incorporate something like "Village building" where you can further extend the Base building mechanics into a viable town, that would be awesome. Maybe have a train that can go across different portions of the world you claim as your own?
That, and anything that involves greater diversity with things to do / places to explore, rather than hopping across the landscape. + Space stuff.

There are planets covered in snow...as well as tropical. But I agree on having more diversity in the wildlife, and within the planets themselves (if they can manage to pull that off).

I see absolutely nothing wrong with Jim's review. He stated the reasons behind his score, and 7/10 isn't bad. He pointed out the technical faults, you know, things that actually do play into a score.
I think what some people are forgetting is. You can love a game, but the game you love doesn't make it 10/10. The scores come down to categories, or at least they used to. For instance, I love ff15, but would I give it 10/10? Absolutely not, because I know the fault...
Mix in a few lowball clickbait 5-6s, and one or two 9's, and I think that'll be the general battleground.
Hm. A bit short, but, (and I've ignored as much information as I can) if this opens up a new area afterwards, that the entire group can delve into (fetch quests, photo spots, a little town, post content - new dungeon?) then I don't mind.
But if this is literally only 2-3h of Gladio with a disjointed connection into the main game (which has its numerous storyline issues) then that's disappointing.
But, I won't judge it until I play it.
