I'm aware of when DLC was implemented, you needn't presume my age. I remember a lot of people being excited and also nervous because it meant more content for the games they loved yet it also opened a doorway. We've seen how developers abuse the freedom - and we've seen how some do the right thing. Take a guess at which has happened more.

I never had doubt about the game's enjoyability, as its predecessor was great. However, as a matter of principle, I won't be supporting this game. The online component will undoubtably be some form of a nightmare for those who don't throw their money at microtransactions to remain competitive.
Let's not forget. "It's an option" used to be free. The rational that paying for "easy mode" makes any sense, shows the naivety of some people ...

If the graphical difference is enough for someone to buy another console, that's their respective decision and they should go ahead and do it. Otherwise - when they are actual gaming, I doubt they'll think about the comparison.

The Future of Gaming - belongs to those who lead, develop and deliver. Nintendo is in no way, the only one in that category, and in many instances they are far behind in areas where Sony and Microsoft have delivered in.

As far as I see it, any game that uses microtransactions blatantly (in the extent it affects the game's difficulty and progression system) isn't going near my gaming platform of choice.
