Here I am, already falling in love with the dialogue, the imagery, the feels, and then she turns around and a huge smile spreads across my face.
It's nice to see that the most intriguing female actress that I've seen on television, is going to be the heroin in a video game. I won't get tired of looking at her face and seeing the contrast to the psychopath she played as in The Following (tv series - was meh but she was solid.)
It doesn't matter who's first or second. As long as they make enough money to stay afloat and put it towards new technological advancements / video games, then we all win. The only benefit from being first is knowing that you are doing extremely well, at least in this current market.

Eh, I'm Canadian so it costs even more. I know the value of money has gone down, a lot. I'd give a long reply but I agree with most of what you said. I'll just point out however that I don't blame Dice/EA for trying to make profit, I blame them for how they market it.

It certainly isn't the easiest life for a writer in certain industries. Writers truly shape an incredible portion of what we as a society connect with, so it's a shame that they have to go through a lot of nonsense just to tell a fraction of the story they have within themselves.

EA wants to pull an Activision, but isn't as smooth at doing it.
What you need to do EA is sell the game first, then sell two expansions, and then sell the game all over again with an entire new take on the story, therefore making it seem like you're doing the fans a good service (but really just taking all their money.)
