I don't see what the difference is if games are also released on the 7th gen. Games were released for the 6th gen long into the 7th gen. Anyone who says that somehow the 7th gen is holding the 8th gen back is wrong. The only improvements are in graphics and developers can downscale and optimize games like always. It seems as if people who bought the new systems are annoyed since they made the investment that people on last gen can still play all the current games, which is messed up.
This is a poor article from a source like Business Insider. When Activision sells the game it counts as sales for the company, just like in every other industry.

Activision wasn't the publisher for Halo games, Microsoft was and they provided Bungie with essentially a blank check.
Its not the developers fault they have proven they have the talent but they must work within the budget and time frame provided to them by the publisher.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that VGChartz is tracking the numbers for USA, Europe, and Japan. This leaves many other countries that aren't tracked and therefore not reflected in the numbers which would explain why PS4 is at 10.2 million units sold and not higher like everyone believes it to be.
The case is gold plated, not fully made of gold for those who are worried about heat conductivity.
Also I really don't think this is a bad investment for gaming fans with money, it is a console that will potentially increase in value as time goes on. Someone just has to figure out the actual value of the gold plating to see how much the company is ripping you off.
I buy all my new games at Bestbuy also they have the best deals. I used to be a Gamers Club Unlocked member when it was originally $15 for a year but now they changed it to $120 for 2 years which doesn't pay for me since I don't buy too many games new at launch. Its manufacturers <suggested> retail price. Shady companies like Gamestop can charge more because they believe their customer base won't know any better. This is why I never shop at Gamestop they are always trying to rip you off and you can go anywhere else and most likely get a game cheaper. Not very consumer friendly IMO.

I think 2.5B is insane for a one hit wonder developer especially when the deal won't include the rights to the said game. They could have bought any independent developer for that amount. That amount gives Mojang a much higher valuation than Take-Two, who owns some of the most talented development studios in the industry and the most valuable IPs.
