It's called a BACK TO SCHOOL sale, ALL computer and electronics retailers do it around this time of year.
Besides, even if it was a permanent price drop this is long overdue in canada as the CDN dollar is almost on par with the US dollar now.
The US price should now only be at the most $60 less than the CDN price.

Took them long enough, the second was one of the best FPSs to date.
YES!!!!!! SF2 was easily one of the best FPS to date.
It also wasn't nearly as violent as people made it seem like, it was just more realistic than most shooters.
I hate to say it, and maybe it's my old age coming into play but I think it's high time developers start to become accountable for some of the stuff they produce.
Movies and TV are one thing, they simply only provide you with images of violence; games like manhunt and GTA actually give you the opportunity to commit the act of hardcore violence. Often without a real goal or purpose for what you're doing (ie. killing hookers and bystanders).
I knew right away there were more than serious issues with the 360 when I walked into purolator and the woman said to me - before I had even said I was there to send out my xbox.

Even though I own a PS3 I just don't see the hype behind this game...
This is exactly why games like this should be banned outright, when a 16 year old kid is getting this excited and vowing to 'anything' to get the game.
I am all for freedom of speech and expression, but there is a point where we need to draw the line. Some people out there, even some of those old enough to purchase the game at an AO rating are simply not mentally able to play games like Manhunt and separate it from reality.
For example?
Shooters where you play a soldier are one thing, but a game where you find creative and disturbing ways to kill people is a totally different ball park.
The first one is the only game where I actually stopped playing because it was just too disturbing (not to mention it was a bad game).
Do we really need games like this? and if you are looking forward to games like this then you need professional help.
